However, the house was not clean. floors were not completely clean, two bathroom showers were not clean, we had to clean them. under the sink in the kitchen not wiped down. It was either pet hair or human hair on the floors. Also behind the beds was really dirty. I am sorry, just want you to know. I will come back next year, just disappointed it was not thoroughly clean.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To start off the preparation of the home seemed rushed. We opted for early check in and found we were short towels and sheets for the beds. However they were delivered the very next day. The house was not cleaned well and the yard what little there was was unkept. The rest of the house was as expected close to the beach with the only the down side of climbing a lot of stairs. Pool in the front made it hard to entertain but did meet the need of a quick dip to cool off. The internet was very slow and some of TVs not hooked up for use. The travel to local stores is walking distance. Overall it was a good stay and the house was what we expected minus the preparation and cleaning.

We saw dolphins and the beach was clean, albeit very crowded in that area.I wish the pool could have been heated. It was frigid! The area is very crowded, and it was very noisy, day and night. Houses are on top of one another, so not very private. Not like our previous visits to the OBX!

The weather was terrible the week we stayed, so we were unable to use the pool, but we did use the hot tub a few times. The house was fairly clean when we checked in, although dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher. The house needs a little work (mold on ceiling in upstairs master bath, etc.). We also had a problem with tiny ants in the kitchen. The stairs over the dunes were a lot more than expected to get to the beach, which was difficult for some in my family.

So Good Beach House - 733 Crown Point

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is very spacious. Kitchen had lots of dishes/glasses/coffee mugs, but could have used a few more pots and pans. Was also equipped with coffee maker, and air fryer and crockpot (we would have liked knowing this before we took ours) We did have maintenance bring us a broom because there wasn't one. House was clean when we checked in, but there were a few lights burnt out, one of them maintenance replaced but didn't notice some of the others until after he was there and it wasn't worth calling back for a second trip to us. The house does need some bigger maintenance items (ceiling repair in mid level master, door jamb fixed, laminate over sink needs re-glued - all minor and didn't affect our stay but should be addressed by realty company). The basement bedroom's bathroom is not next to it, it's across the rec room by the back door. (just for information)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great and the pool (albeit smaller than it looks in the pics) and hot tub are well-maintained and clean. The deck off the kitchen is an awesome place to hang out and watch the sea. That said, there are a lot of little things that need work - torn screens, windows that don't open properly, hole in the ceiling, etc - they don't really affect your enjoyment of the property but it detracts from the overall feel. I'm sure these big rental houses get rode pretty hard all season with large groups, so manage your expectations. But overall I'd stay there again, property management was very attentive and maintained contact from check-in to check -out.

We have had as many as 13 people stay in this home and plenty of room for all. The pool is very nice as it is located on the front of the home so you get the nice afternoon sun. So close to shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc. Just an all around great place to stay!

Great House ... BUT

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dune Vegan was a great house and a perfect layout for our group that ranged from ages 2-50. HOWEVER, for being so early in the season, we were very disappointed at how dusty the bedrooms were and it was obvious that the cleaning company did not vacuum before we arrived - clothes tags on the floor for example. The upstairs vacuum didn't work very well, the other vacuum was full and there were no replacement bags. Light bulbs were out in lamps and there were no replacements again in the house. The kitchen chair cushions were dirty, so we tossed them in the washing machine, amongst other questionable items. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and the NEW pool, but it just didn't start out too well and I think we all felt a little unsettled for the first few days. In no way do I want to steer you away from this house, but I did want the owners to be aware of our experience. The realty company was great and sent the cleaning company out right away, but they were in/out within a 1/2 hour.

Pretty Good Ocean Front Place

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The good: process with Beach Realty; ocean front location; community tennis court was nice; the raised sitting room was great; the house was very functional. Just part of it: tall dune, but this seems to be a Corolla thing; you are in s subdivision, so beach is not so private, but not crowded; pool is front of house; bedrooms are modest size. The not so good: called about a couple cleaning issues (including mold on shower curtain) that weren't resolved; also called about basement air conditioner, it may just be marginal; the ice maker has a leak so it ends up making one big block of ice (we didn't call about this issue); the house could use some refreshing (carpet, etc...); would be good to have a good non-stick skillet. Overall, pretty good.

Best Vacation

We had a family party of 9 and all had our own space which was fantastic. The property was on the beach and we saw the sunrise and dolphins every morning. We will be back to this property again. The only downside was the check in time. Most places have a 2 pm check in time and this one says 4 to 6 but is really 6pm. If I could change anything it would be the check in time. We had such a wonderful time.

There are a LOT of steps both in the home and the beach access. The pool is in the front so it had extreme sun most of the day, but that was good for us since it would be very difficult for a child to wander out to it. My only complaint was it was very far from a lifeguard stand. Overall it’s a great house and we would rent it again.

We traditionally vacation in Nags Head but decided to go to Corolla this year for something different and although we were hesitant about depending on public access to the beach, SO Good exceeded our expectations.In addition to being next to the public access walkway which made getting to the beach so easy, the location near stores made quick runs an easy trip. The refurbished bathrooms were very nice and the game room was one of the better ones we've enjoyed in OBX. The front-yard pool was a nice change that allowed afternoon sun and warm water when we didn't go to the beach; and the crows nest provided wonderful views to enjoy the lightening storms. We highly recommend So Good
