Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience from the beginning of our stay. We got there at 1:30 pm, and no one was there. We waited for 20 minutes, then found a number on Expedia and called; they reached the receptionist.
The receptionist said the reservation was for one person, which was my mistake. I booked it for one adult. And wanted to charge me the full room rate for my wife, $39. I told her that the price for the room for two adults is $41 on Expedia, and I can pay the $2 difference. The hotel/owner messaged me on WhatsApp saying I need to pay the full room price. I messaged the number in Expedia and explained the issue. They told me to pay the $2 difference and that they would message the manager. The manager and receptionist agreed. But we found out the room was not ready and needed to be cleaned. It’s 2 pm by that time. We got the key for the room - the bed sheets were dirty, and there was no soap in the bathroom. After all of this, I get a message from the manager that I actually need to pay $3, not $2. At that point, I didn't want to argue; I said, "ok." I paid the receptionist, who charged me a higher exchange rate than the local market rate.
The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and made our experince unpleasant and unwelcoming. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.
