We really enjoyed our stay overall, the house itself is stunning! The craftsmanship, custom wood details, and peaceful surroundings made it such a relaxing getaway. The sound of the stream, the fire pit, and the big deck were exactly what we were hoping for. The kitchen was well-equipped and had lots of thoughtful touches like condiments and good cookware. That said, a few details in the listing could be clearer. The sleeping arrangements were a bit different than we expected. There aren’t multiple king beds, and the lofts are tricky to access (definitely not ideal for small kids or older adults). The loft areas also just have thin pads on the floor rather than full beds with bedding. The hanging king and queen beds in the bedrooms are really unique and comfortable, but since there’s no headboard, anyone who needs to sleep propped up might want to bring a wedge pillow. Also, bring an eye mask if you prefer sleeping in, there are no window coverings in the bedrooms. One of the showers wasn’t working when we arrived, but the host was responsive and helped us troubleshoot it quickly. All in all, it’s a beautiful property and a memorable experience, just worth knowing a few quirks ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
