Truly a comfortable Cozy Cottage
We came for a sisters and nieces weekend. There was plenty of room and it was all so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The screened in porch was so relaxing and our favorite place for morning coffee and tea. A+++ place to stay!

Cabin in the Woods
We had a nice stay at this clean and comfortable cabin in the woods. You drive up a small ad windy gravel road to get to the top of a hill where the cabin is located. It is surrounded by pretty woods. This is the quietest rental home I have ever stayed in! Only sound is the birds singing. Owners are friendly and responsive and answer any questions quickly.

Top of the Mountain
Just driving up the hillside in the woods was great. Then the house appeared. It was what we wanted! The yard was so pretty. We spent majority of time on the back porch enjoying nature. It is a wonderful place to relax. Thanks to the owners for sharing.

The best R&R!
The home had everything we needed and some. My favorite was being able to open the windows or sit on porch and hear the birds and watch other wildlife run around. It was so relaxing. The master bedroom mattress was so good that we ordered ourselves one! We will be going back again!

Absolutely peaceful!
This cottage was such a a lovely experience. It was quiet with beautiful views. The property is gorgeous and private, yet only a short drive to shopping, eating, and state parks. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Mountain Cottage did not miss!
I love the mountain cottage. I haven't slept better in a long time, and we have access to so many nice restaurants. We did a ton of hiking, and the waterfall hikes were pretty special.

Awesome family get away

Great getaway cabin!
This might be the best place we’ve ever booked through VRBO. The location is secluded but convenient to Cookeville and TTU. The cabin is clean and well appointed. Unlike some places, which give you only “starter packs” of paper towels, soap, etc, this cabin comes fully stocked with everything you need.

Heaven
House surrounded by woods. Amazing to sit on the back porch with the wind blowing the autumn leaves off the trees. House was great with plenty of room for us all. We enjoyed family time, cooking meals and some wine. Cookeville was a fun town to tour. The hiking in the state parks was one of the reasons we picked this house. Close to so many. We saw some beautiful and amazing water falls which included the turning of the leaves picturesque. We found an apple orchard with all the wonderful baked goods near Pikesville. Trip was peaceful, fun, and healthy.

Perfect location for rest and relaxation
The cottage was the perfect place for us to relax and unwind in the midst of a busy weekend in town for a family event. Each morning, we took a walk and enjoyed the scenery. The layout of the house was great too.

Beautiful Cottage on Acreage
This cottage is absolutely adorable. Nicely decorated and had everything our family needed (kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and bake/bathrooms have plenty of towels and wash cloths). We stayed for almost a month and loved every minute. The property is gorgeous and private. Owners live on the property but, with all the acreage and trees, we felt completely separate. Lots of cleared space for kids to roam, great backyard fire pit for roasting marshmallows, beautiful screened in back patio for morning coffee. The beds were also comfortable, which was a relief given how long we stayed! Elizabeth and Nate are great hosts! Easy to get in touch with if needed. Would highly recommend.

Dream come true!
An incredible cottage on a hilltop with plenty of land to walk. Only a few miles from stores, restaurants, etc., but it is a complete escape from “civilization”. My family and I absolutely loved the property and cottage. The owners are beautiful people and even shared some fresh picked crops from their garden with us!

Best VRBO yet!
My husband and I stay in VRBOs 2-3 times a year for different hiking/vacation trips we plan. This one ranks as one of the very best experiences we've had! Not only was it clean and well-maintained, but the setup was just PERFECT for relaxation. They had a vase full of roses on the coffee table upon our arrival. The screened-in porch was where we spent almost all of our time while we were in the house. And, the bed was so very comfortable. We're used to needing a 4-wheel drive car most places we go, but it is important here, as the drive up to the home is short, but very much at an incline. We even had a big downpour storm our final night and the owner was out early in the morning making sure the driveway was safe for us to go down. Excellent location for quick trips to the area's waterfalls and trails (which are also gorgeous!)...but let us tell you, it's going to be difficult to pull yourself away from relaxing in this home.

Heaven on the hill
We absolutely loved our stay! Elizabeth has done a beautiful job with the comfort and amenities to make you feel right at home. Super convenient to downtown and the surrounding areas. We even went to Windrock for a day trip. The linens and bedding are very comfortable, adorably decorated, nice layout and space, stunning property. Cookeville Visit
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We have been to several VRBO, and this is definitely one of our favorites. We felt right at home as soon as we walked through the door. The decor is inviting, and the view of the woods out of every window is awesome. We only stayed a couple of nights, but in that short time, we saw deer, turkey, and heard a coyote. The owner was a joy to work with, and answered all questions promptly. We will definitely be back.

Anniversary Getaway
We stayed at the Maxwell's cabin in the spring when our daughter got married at Lane's Bend. It was so convenient to the venue. It was a great place for wedding work, family time and getting ready. It was an easy decision to return for our anniversary. The location of the this property is wonderful. Tranquil, peaceful, restful. We saw 3 deer out the kitchen window early in the morning. Midmorning 7 turkey out back and then they meandered to the front. When we stayed it was cold and quiet outside, but warm and charming inside. The Maxwells had it decorated nicely for Christmas :) Thank you!!

Exceeded our expectations!
We were so tremendously impressed with this property, from the location to the accommodations to the hospitality of the host! We've stayed in a LOT of condos and rentals and none have ever been as well supplied as this one! I always pack a tote full of kitchen essentials because there's always something that isn't either supplied or that is just cheap. Not here! They went above and beyond, including cut firewood and fire starters for the fire pit and even condiments and storage items for food. They even welcomed our dogs with a jar full of treats! The property is beautiful, secluded and so peaceful! I highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back!

Love this place! Highly recommended.
A group of friends found this place last year and wanted to come back. The location is just what we wanted - quiet but easy access to town. Love the house! Perfect for our group of 6. The kitchen is fully stocked and the host is so wonderful. We want to come back again next year. No need to search another place to stay.
