I booked this hotel in advance specifically to attend my son’s graduation, after driving 11 hours to get there. Unfortunately, the experience was unacceptable from the moment we entered the room.
The room had a strong, overwhelming odor that appeared to be an attempt to mask something with bleach or harsh chemicals, which only made it worse. Even more concerning, there were roaches present throughout the room. The conditions were so unsanitary that we did not sit down, unpack, or stay even briefly. We immediately left the room.
When I notified the front desk, I was told there were no other rooms available. Despite the obvious cleanliness and health concerns, I was informed that they would not issue a refund due to their “strict refund policy.” I escalated the issue and spoke with multiple staff members and management, yet received nothing more than the same generic policy response—not even a single apology for the situation.
Because of this, after an exhausting 11-hour drive and arriving late, I was forced to search for another hotel last minute and pay for three additional nights elsewhere, on top of the money already paid here for a room that was completely unusable.
It is now clear why this property relies so heavily on a “strict refund policy”—once guests actually see the room, I can’t imagine anyone willingly staying under those conditions. Cleanliness and basic customer care appear to be severely lacking.
The manager and ownership should be ashamed to operate this
