Newly Updated: Nearby Short North / OSU!

Newly Renovated House located in Weinland Park with 2 off-street parking spaces (additional *free* street parking out front). Great Location within walking/scooter/uber distance of Short North & OSU. Very convenient location yet private enough where it's quiet in the evening when you want to sleep.

We spent time focusing on what would make your stay the most comfortable, entertaining and enjoyable :)

Completely renovated in 2020, this modernized single family home has been outfitted with the latest amenities, features, mechanicals, HVAC and window treatments.

We have a very comfortable TV-room couch which is an L sectional, sturdy enough to sleep on. This room has a large wall mounted television connected to Roku and utilizes the home's high speed internet for any streaming platform you utilize and that Roku can provide.

We also have a vintage reading couch in the other living room. In this room, we have -a vintage Pacman arcade - a large retro connect 4 game
-giant floor checkers
-other retro and popular games for guests to enjoy
-a vinyl record player with bluetooth speaker with assorted vinyl records guests can play
-a guitar, tambourine and even a cow bell free for guests to carefully jam out on ;)
-various children’s toys ranging from a wooden car track set, toy cars, children’s books and other fun items for any kiddos you have with you!
-also supplied is a desk with lamp and chair perfect for the work-from-home/road traveler.

All lamps in the bedrooms and office are equipped with USB and 110V power connections for your convenience in charging your various devices while you stay (no need to search for outlets in this home!).

The kitchen is equipped with the modern essentials for cooking and dining-in (guests who plan to cook must provide their own food/groceries). We also provide a Keurig Coffee maker which takes K-Cups.

We provide bathroom essentials including guest shampoo, conditioner, body soap and body lotion. Bath towels, wash towels and hand towels provided.

We have a dining area as well with a dining table and chairs. Enjoy the custom chalkboard wall and leave us a note on your way out! Enjoy family fun or learning time!

Outside on the rear patio please enjoy the outside seating and fenced in backyard. Complete with dusk-to-dawn string lights and a fire-pit. Guests that intend to use the fire-pit should plan to provide their own wood (can be sourced from local stores).

  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Orton Hall is built of 40 different Ohio building stones. In the outside walls, these stones are laid in stratigraphic order according to their relative positions in Ohio's bedrock. The only non-indigenous to Ohio stone used is Indiana Limestone to build the front steps. It was chosen because of its high concentration of embedded fossils. The bell tower was dedicated in 1915 and contains 25,000 pounds of bells that can be heard regularly tolling across campus. Encircling the top of the tower are 24 columns with gargoyle-like figures which are restorations of fossil animals.

Overall very nice. We were in town for a wedding. Bathroom and kitchen were awesome. Games and musical instruments were appreciated. Beds were comfy. Concerns and room for improvement: Microwave, interior of fridge, fan blades, bathroom exhaust fan were all dirty upon our arrival. Huge pothole at edge of parking pad. Back outdoor furniture in poor condition. Could use mirrors in all 3 bedrooms.

Fun place for kids

We had two adults staying at the home. Comfortable and clean accommodations, great parking. My grandchildren visited during the day—we played multiple games of Buckopoly. The pinball machine was a winner. We planned to cook there which was a bit less convenient. There were no storage dishes or bags or limited spices except salt & pepper. Fortunately my daughter lived close by &, with the groceries we bought, could bring what we needed to serve & prepare meals. All in all, great location.

Very Bad neighborhood and loud

Talking with the property manager was great. I will give them that. Other than that the neighborhood is pretty rough. The neighbor themselves have tarps and random pieces of plywood up for a fence with giant gaps in it and at least 5 beware of dog signs ( I never personally seen the dog, but if it was outside, it could’ve easily just strolled out of the backyard right where you have to park. By the way, there is trash everywhere in the alley where you have to park and a train track maybe 50 yards from the house on the same side as the bedroom you WILL hear trains all night long I didn’t hardly sleep at all. They show a lot of games and things you can play there but half of them are broken or missing pieces. There is almost no kitchenware. It looks like a landlord special where they think if they paint over everything, it makes it look new and nice.. If you’re just staying in town one night for an OSU game I guess this wouldn’t be a bad choice , but if you’re visiting for a whole week, skip this one.you will be disappointed

Perfect!

We came to Columbus for the first time for a wedding. We had a group of 6 adults. This house was perfect for us! The bedrooms and beds were super comfortable. The house had everything we needed and more. We thoroughly enjoyed the record collection and playing Pac-Man. The location was also perfect. We walked to Fox in the snow cafe, and were able to walk home from the wedding. 10/10 would stay again and highly recommend!

Comfy & homey

My husband and I were taking our boys to their first OSU game! I found this perfect gem within walking distance to the stadium! The walk itself took about 39 minutes but most of the walk was through town and campus, so PLENTY of cool places/restaurant's to check out! As for the gem, as soon as we walked in it felt very inviting and homey! Of course the vintage arcade game was a huge hit, but enjoyed most of the games. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of linen, blankets if needed! We are already planning another trip down to Columbus and will absolutely stay at this gem again! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

White coat ceremony and proposal

This location was perfect for a white coat ceremony at OSU. Followed by a proposal and celebratory champagne drink on the front porch. All the instruments were used in the celebration!!! Of course the men loved the Pac-Man.

Better space than a hotel

The house is exactly as described it’s very clean and updated. We came into Columbus for a family baby shower and this was a perfect spot for us. The house had tons of games to play and spaces to hang out and do different things. Check in was easy and any questions I had before the trip the owner was quick to respond. We would stay here again.

Great stay! Clean, great location, great owner support.

Really nice place - lots of fun activities and well kept. Good location, close to lots of cbus fun. Owner was SUPER responsive to inquiries, replying almost instantly with high quality help - best in class owner support. Insta-carted batteries!!! Arcade game was sublime. Try and beat our Pinball Action game scores. We’ll go back whence we are in cbus again.

Great for a weekend away

We enjoyed our stay. Great central location. Very clean and instructions were clear. A few drawbacks: limited kitchen supplies (glasses, bowls for food prep, serving dishes), outside furniture was a bit worn. Neighborhood was reasonably quiet given the central location but definitely want to keep cars locked. Overall a good experience with very responsive host.

Lovely House

The house was so lovely! It's obvious that time and care was put into restoring this house to its original beauty. Loved that the floors and doorways looked to be original! The gate around back was a little unwieldy, and finding the offstreet parking space was a bit confusing the first time, but the trip was flawless and the house perfect for what we needed!

Perfect Location Perfect House

This property was exactly as described and was in the perfect location for our travelling to Columbus. The house was exactly as described. Three bedroom, renovated kitchen and bathroom. Our weather was a little to cold to sit outside and enjoy the front porch or the back porch but definitely would have taken advantage of these two porches if the weather permitted. I had a quick question regarding the property and received an immediate answer from the property owner. Excellent stay and would recommend this house!

OSU Football

Weekend visit to see our daughter and attend the OSU/MN football game. Great location, we walked to the stadium and our daughters house. Stayed in the house with another couple and it was perfect. Lots of room, fun games and very clean.
