After driving from WNY to Grove City, we knew booking a Motel 6 wasn’t going to be luxury - but we still expected a basic, safe, and comfortable place to stay.
Our room wasn’t ready at check-in, which was frustrating after a long drive. The staff was genuinely friendly and kind, which we appreciated, but unfortunately the condition of the property didn’t match even basic expectations.
There seemed to be quite a few long-term guests, which gave the hotel a different overall atmosphere than we anticipated. The room itself had multiple issues: the bed was very uncomfortable (a futon honestly might have been better), and there was a noticeable crack in the frame of my fiancé’s bed. I had requested a king or queen but was given two double beds with no explanation.
The bathroom was also outrageously small - barely enough space to move around comfortably.
The hairdryer didn’t work, and all of the electrical outlets were so loose that it was difficult to keep anything plugged in.
By the end of our stay, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving our car in the parking lot. There was a vehicle with a bullet hole in the window and flat tires, which added to the overall concern about safety.
Again, the staff was kind, but between the condition, comfort issues, and safety concerns, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
