We looked forward to a good experience. It was much less, in fact it was terrible. An hour after checking in, I received a phone call from the owner. She wanted to be “fully transparent” about a problem. She said the previous renter apparently allowed a mouse to get into the house. The cleaning person had been there the day before we arrived, noticed mouse droppings in the kitchen near the stove and contacted the owner about the issue. They had her place a mouse trap next to the stove but no caught mouse. The trap was in plain site. It was set without any bait. We were angry they had not disclosed it before we checked in. My wife was livid and insisted on leaving immediately but there just wasn’t anything else to rent. After calming her, I told the owner, “at the very least we deserve a significant discount on the rent”. She asked how much, I replied 50%. In reply, someone checked in via text to see if we were “settled in” with a reminder of a no refund policy. I shared several other things wrong about the place. She asked for pics. I sent 8 right away but have 10 others they should see and can't seem to upload. The place was filthy, run down and several things need repair. There are many, many other terrible things to mention but no space. There were a few nice things in the place. We think we deserve a full refund but no response from owner who asked for a 5 star review. Obviously, no 5 star review and we won't stay there again.
