This is it! Come relax in comfort in our quiet secluded private ranch home. Experience nature and all the splendor of Colorado. At Elk Springs ranch, we are close to the national forest, hiking, fishing, and 4 wheeling and frisbee disc golf.

Close to state parks with hiking trails within 10 min. Spectacular views of rock formations and Pikes Peak. Adventure guide at request.

Spacious 2 story living environment that sleeps 13+ with a large deck, stunning views of the stars and a wood burning fireplace..

The Chalet is 2700 square feet and is only 3 years old. It has 700 sqft of decks. It provides 1 King master bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, 2 queen sofa sleepers, 4 bunk beds and a twin single bed. The chalet sleeps 12 or more.

Guests will have access to the main floor and upper floor. There is no access to the garage or upper floor office. Check in is at 4:00 and check out is at 10:00. The hosts will be staying on the property and will be available for guests. Hosts honor guests’ privacy, so you may see them on the property feeding the animals, or outside on occasion, but they are available for anything you may need anytime, just give them a call. Other than that, you will have total privacy.

Guest has access to 10-20 acres on the ranch to explore. If hiking around the ranch place be aware of the fact, that there are holes dug out from animals, and guest needs to be sure to wear suitable shoes. Guest also needs to be aware that this is Colorado, we have wildlife, like Elk, deer, large prey birds and bear so take care with small pets and children at night or unattended.

New 9 hole frisbee disc golf course.

• If you are having trouble making calls, just enable WIFI calling on your phone, you should be able to send texts, make calls from the property. Have high speed internet (Starlink)
• No smoking in house, in designated areas only
• No parties or events
• 2 pets is allowed, dogs only
• Nearby lake, river, other body of water , ski resorts
• Airbnb’s COVID -19 Practices apply
• Check in at 4:00 p.m., check out at 10:00 am. Recommended to arrive before dark.

If only Vrbo had a 10/above and beyond rating to give-Elk Springs Ranch would meet that definition! To start with you won't find better host than Deb and Troy. Both were so pleasant and welcoming throughout the stay. Deb has done an amazing job designing this home and no detail is forgotten. Be sure to take Troys recommendation to visit Eleven Mile Canyon and see the Balcony, both were favorites of ours. The home itself is gorgeous and exceptionally clean. There are so many special touches - a welcoming card with host direct contact number, a bottle of wine, a bountiful variety of snacks, a fully stocked coffee/tea station to mention just a few. The kitchen was one of the best stocked properties we have ever stayed at. There is an amazing view of Pikes Peak off the main deck. The floor plan is perfect, and we loved we could take our dog out for walks right there on the property. Thank you Deb, Troy and Jackson for sharing your piece of paradise with us. You can count on seeing us again!!

09/20/25 - 09/27/25Elk Springs Ranch is absolutely perfect...from the thoughtfully stocked kitchen and baths, Deb and Troy's quick responses and help, immaculate housekeeping, easy check-in, extremely comfortable beds and linens, lovely decks to take in the breathtaking views, beautiful wood-burning fireplace that we used most evenings and most important...the ranch's fur-babies!Each morning, we would visit Lucy and Tobias (horses) to give them fresh apple slices. Each evening after spending the day sightseeing, Penny (cat) would come visit us just to make certain we got home safe. And, of course, Jasper (dog) would make us laugh every time we saw him. Watching a Golden Retriever puppy herd sheep was awesome. I wish I had it on video!!! Great place for kids and families!

The place was setup great for a fun family weekend! Close proximity to Royal Gorge and Cripple Creek (check out the train ride in Cripple Creek; it was a huge hit for all ages!). The ranch also had lots of fun things to do and the animals on the ranch were fun for the kiddos. Great hosts and very welcoming towards our group!

Wonder family vacation!

Deb is an exceptional hostess, ensuring a delightful stay with no unexpected issues.The property was spotless, with reliable Wi-Fi throughout. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, plates, cookware, a crockpot, and more. Thoughtful touches included a bag of ice in the freezer and a bottle of wine on the kitchen island.The beds were cozy, and the bathrooms were pristine and well-supplied.Ample seating options, including couches and chairs, were available both indoors and outdoors.I especially loved the master bedroom deck, where I’d relax at night, gazing at the stunning, star-filled Colorado sky.I attached the magnificent view of Pike’s Peak from the common deck.

Hard to Leave

From the moment I pulled in from the dirt road to Elk Springs Ranch I knew I made the right choice for our mult-generational family vacation. Opening the front door was like being on an HGTV reveal. Everything was perfect. No disappointment from the online description. I dreamed a long time of bringing everyone together. While you could say the location is nowhere, it is everywhere. The southwest Colorado scenery is so magnificent that the drives we took to Canon City for the Royal Gorge Train Route and white water rafting, Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods go by in a flash. And . . . don:t ignore the Florissant Dinosaur Monument area. So close and so much to learn about earth's development. The true highlight of the property are the sheep, horses and Troy. Yes, Troy! He made the stay so special for our six and four year old grandchildren. Every morning they ran down to with his calm and friendly demeanor feed "girls" and 'boys" sheep, and ''Jude" the patriarchy sheep of the flock. Then it was on to do likewise for their horses Tobias and Lucy. If you have going children, do yourself a favor - just go. There will be unforgettable memories awaiting. Finally, don't forget to ask Troy about "The Balcony" overlook. You will not find a better view in Colorado. No tourists here. Only a hidden gem like Troy will know about. I can't say enough about Deb:s and Troy's welcoming hospitality.The even had farm fresh eggs delivered to us from the farm across the road.

“A Wonderful Family Getaway”

“Our stay at Elks Ranch was absolutely wonderful! Everything mentioned in the listing was spot on, and the house was immaculate and well-maintained. The view of the mountains was absolutely spectacular and added to the serene atmosphere of the ranch. My grandkids especially loved feeding the sheep and horses, which made the experience even more memorable. Deb and Troy were excellent hosts, making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. We had an incredible Thanksgiving at their beautiful ranch, and everyone in our family was thrilled to create such special memories there. Perfect family retreat

Elk Springs Ranch was everything as advertised. Well appointed, clean, and comfortable for a family retreat spanning three generations. So many outdoor activities on property and nearby. We enjoyed hikes, time with ranch animals, trips to nearby pikes peak, water activities, evening campfires, and more. Troy and Deb add a personal touch second to none. Elk Springs Ranch

Gorgeous home and spacious property. Quiet, private, and just the right distance from major attractions. Relaxing and beautiful view of Pikes Peak and other mountains nearby. Deb and Troy are very gracious hosts and made the stay even more enjoyable. Troy was very patient and engaging with our rambunctious and highly active 6-year-old son. He let our son help feed and pet the sheep and horses. Troy spent time with our son and showed him how to play frisbee golf and played a round with us. Incredibly beautiful home and lots of modern touches. House was stocked with lots of toys, books, and activities for all ages. Our teenagers enjoyed exploring the house and property. Deb & Troy provided directions to a “secret” hike location that was not challenging for our family and provided a beautiful overlook at the top. They also provided lots of conveniences throughout the stay. One of our favorite vacations and we did not want to leave. If we ever go back to the area, this is definitely a property we would consider.

Great place to getaway and enjoy each other!

Elk Springs Ranch was the perfect vacation home for our family. The house was beautiful and fit all 10 of us very comfortably. Deb and Troy were very friendly and had the house well stocked when we arrived. It was by far the most well stocked house we’ve stayed at. The younger kids loved helping Troy feed the animals and the older kids and adults enjoyed playing many rounds of frisbee golf. The house is located close to many different activities and was the perfect place to come back to and relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery. We hope to return again some day soon!

Convenient & Beautiful Location

Deb and Troy were excellent hosts at this lovely vacation home. We were greeted with a welcoming environment and many amenities. It was still the colder season in Colorado, so we had fire wood available for the indoor fireplace. This was great to watch while the snow came down in the mountain area. The views of Pike's Peak from this home are breathtaking as you sit by the fireplace or when sitting to eat with the whole family. Our toddler had a great time watching Troy feed the sheep and horses on the property. Troy was available to provide recommendations of nearby hiking spots and showed us the "Balcony." The house was conveniently located ~30-40 minutes from most attractions. We visited the Royal Gorge, Eleven Mile Canyon, Woodland Park, Florissant Fossil Bed area, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Red Rock. We didn't get the chance to visit the nearby Wolf and Wildlife Reservoir. The home had ample supplies and was one of the best stocked VRBOs we have had the pleasure of staying at. There is plenty of room for the whole family to spread out throughout the house. Would definitely book this property again next time we are near Colorado Springs.

Wonderful Colorado getaway

Elks Springs Ranch was a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving with our family! The views are amazing, the house is beautiful with a well stocked kitchen. We all enjoyed helping Troy feed the sheep and the horses. The house is 30-60 minutes from all COS attractions, which made it easy to schedule adventures during the day and then have a lovely, relaxing place to come home to. Deb and Troy were terrific hosts and very responsive to any questions. Make sure to ask Troy for a map to his favorite hiking spot … amazing 360 degree views!! We hope to go back someday.

Amazing experience and a beautiful home!

Our stay was fabulous in every way! If you are looking for a beautiful cabin near Pikes Peak, this is the perfect place. We spent a lot of time researching cabins in the area and we found the best home! Debra and Troy were the perfect hosts. The cabin is decorated so lovely and has everything you could possibly need and more! There were goodies left for us upon arrival and a fully stocked coffee and tea station. All of the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for a large family. The views from the deck are spectacular! The animals on the ranch just add to the experience and we really enjoyed watching Troy feed them. The secret lookout is worth staying here alone! We picked a location close to Pikes Peak because we booked a ride on the Cog Railway to the top of the mountain. It is an incredible site to see. But I think the view from Troy’s special spot is better than the view from Pikes Peak. You are able to see all of the mountains, including Pikes peak with the added bonus of seeing the Eleven Mile Canyon. The view is breathtaking! If you don’t mind a little hike and would like to see the best views in this area, you could not pick a better place! Thank you Troy and Debra for helping us create a memorable experience with our family!

We booked for a last minute trip over fall break. We loved the county setting, the views, the home and its coziness! They had thought of everything to make our stay extra comfortable. They also gave directions and suggestions of things to do when we asked about what we should go explore in the area. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful

Debbie and Troy are the ideal hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The kids loved the farm animals and Troy was amazing with them. Our oldest nephew was able to help Troy with trimming the sheep's hooves. He loved it. We will absolutely be back and stay here. My recommendation is that no one else stay here next year at this time so it is AVAILABLE FOR OUR FAMILY!!!!💕 Thank you Debbie and Troy and also Cathy ( horseback ride for the kiddos ) for making our family so comfortable and for being the best hosts ever!!!

Relaxing atmosphere with great views

Great cabin feel with awesome view. Fireplace was great with plenty of firewood on hand. Kitchen was fully stocked with appliances/pans/dishes etc. Deborah and Troy are very attentive to any needs or questions. Very nice people. Our only regret was that we weren’t staying longer! Looking forward to staying again someday.
