Fantastisk hotell, veldig god service,herlig mat,flott underholdning på plenen foran hotellet på St.hans aften.Jeg var så uheldig å falle i en trapp,men personalet var veldig hjelpsomme,fik meg til sykehus og ventet på meg på to forskjellige dager uten å be om noen betaliing

Strålende hotell
Hotellet har mye historie, og mye sjarm. Fantastisk beliggenhet ved sjøen. Bra restaurant og koselig bar. Servicen er upåklagelig. På grunn av ett stort bryllup var det mye støy der under vårt opphold, som trakk litt ned for oss. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Historisk flott hotell, men upersonlig.
Det som slår meg med Galle Face hotell er at det er en fantastisk flott bygning og et historisk sted. De som er ansiktet utad, resepsjonen er ikke noe godt eksempel på god servise. De var upersonlige og lite servise opptatt. En følte at en hadde kommet til en effektiv upersonlig innsjekking.

En reise i tid
Antagelig det beste hotellet i Colombo. Bygget rundt 1860. Veldig sjarmerende. Byens beste utsikt mot solnedgangen. Upåklagelig service. Føles som å ta en reise i tid. Restaurantene holder bra nivå. AC var muligens ikke helt bra, men dette gjør ikke så mye da resten av opplevelsen er såpass god:)

En luksus ferie , midt på en travle by !
Det vart en possitivt opplevelse på en kjendis hotell, stilt og rolig, med hav bris, og god mat, betjenninga var innstilt å gi beste service, følelsen av verdsatt guest. Tilgang til diverse turar med god bil og diktige sjåførar. Selvaste hotellet gir en luksus, antikk verdi, den har en høy klasse om man vil ha både romslig og komfortable ferie alene ell med familie den er den beste hottellet på ellers travle stor byen på øya.

Flott hotell rett ved stranda
Beste hotellet i Colombo. Gammelt erverdig hotell med herlige senger og nydelig mat. Standarden var helt klart som et femstjerners hotell. Personalet var meget profesjonelle og oppgraderte rommet vårt uten at vi spurte. Vi hadde med vår yngste sønn på 10 år, og han elsket dette hotellet. Vil gjerne bo der igjen. Eneste dumme var at det ikke er mulig å bade på stranda pga store understrømmer.

The best hotel in Colombo
We have been travelling to Sri Lanka for more than thirty years and Galle Face Hotel is still our favourite. As one of very few hotels in Colombo it has been renovated with respect for its original style. The hotel opens up to the ocean in a u-shape and turns its back to the noisy Galle road. It has fabulous verandas, a nice lawn and a salt-water pool.

Flott hotell med fantastisk beliggenhet.
Et fantastisk hotell, selv om rommene er modne for en oppgradering. Hotellet har en sjel og atmosfære av de sjeldne. Buffet var variert og meget god. Dette skriver jeg på tross av at min samboer ble matforgitet siste dagen vi var der. Dette gjorde henne meget dårlig på den lange veien hjem til Norge.

Flott opphold. Eneste minuset var veldig mye trafikkstøy Siden nærmeste nabo er en stor rundkjøring. Våre venner fikk ett stille rom på østfløyen. Hadde foretrukket dette selv om vårt bråkete rom var finere. Super service!

This stay was a step back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities. The staff is amazing and helpful with our greatest experience with concierge help, Emmanuel. The breakfast buffet did not disappoint. The on site bars and restaurants were top notch. Don’t miss the historical photographs in the bar. Amazing experience and we look forward to returning soon.

The rooms and hotels are great. Staff is very nice & the pool area is beautiful. I stood twice at 2 different rooms & it’s pretty neat and clean. The only flaw I encountered which was very disappointing is the stained bed sheets in junior sweet. Buy new sheets for crying out loud! It wasn’t even a standard room but a suite!

Nice old colonial style hotel on the beach but charmless staff at reception spoilt the visit - we said good evening mr and mrs ourname checking in the best they could come up with was “passports” and it did not get better. Communication with the hotel prior to arrival was very poor. Lots of work on this needed.

The hotel is lovely and very traditional. The staff are very attentive and always welcoming. The pool area however requires upgrading as the flooring is broken in several places and is a safety hazard.

Our second stay at the Galle Face - once you have stayed there you won’t want to stay anywhere else in Colombo. The hotel is set right on the beach front with a fabulous 30 m sea salt pool A qualified lifeguard is always on duty- a big thank you to Aja for welcoming us back to the pool and sunloungers -a top spot! Happy Hour cocktails on the hotel green to watch the sun go down while the flag is lowered and the bagpipes play - perfect start to the evening. Dine then on the open terrace with a fantastic choice of Sri Lankan and international cuisine. Several bars on site to choose from after this Highly recommend this hotel

Wunderschönes Hotel im Kolonialstil. Sehr leckeres Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Da ist für jeden was dabei. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr schön eingerichtet, allerdings sind die Möbel doch ein wenig veraltet aber das hat uns nicht gestört.

Galle Face Hotel does live up to its rich heritage and the main thing is the service received from everyone from the concierge team, to the room cleaners, the team in the restaurant that aim to please and even from the man in the uniform employed to scare the birds away with an unloaded slingshot! Yes, the hotel is showing it's age but the rooms are generous and comfortable and the history...amazing! My suggestion is to get someone to show you how to work out the old fashioned key in the lock as it is very annoying and the keyhole is too low to start with!

It is a beatiful place with the flavour of old authentic feeling but with all the modern conveniences. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast time is a bit hectic but there is plnty of areas to R&R. I always wanted to stay in GF and I fulfiled my dream.
