Finn et annet hotell!
Positivt: gratis parkering i garasjen. Dog svært trangt å manøvrere i svingene. Frokosten var ulekker og uappetittlig; vond juice, fæl kaffe, billigste billige pålegg. Det ble vann og yougurt for min del. Og frisk frukt, med skall på. Rommet, superior sådann, var helt strippet for komfort. Ikke en bomullsdott tilgjengelig på badet, langt mindre bodylotion. Bare såpe og shampo. Betjeningen var effektive og rasjonelle med et kunstig smil. Dette er en fabrikk.

Moderne hotell i god standard. Gangavstand, ca 10 minutt til historisk sentrum. Jeg opplevde kun ett problem, og det var dårlig lydisolering. Gråtende barn i naborom gjorde det umulig å sove....

Fint hotell et stykke utenfor sentrum
Bodde her 1 døgn på junior suite med min kone. Junior suiten var ganske stor, inndelt i 2 rom. Pluss for 2 stk aircondition (1 i hvert rom). Trekk for at man måtte betale en fille sum for wifi på rommet. Fint hotell, rent og pent. Grei frokost. Lite stykke utenfor sentrum, men vi hadde bil så det var ikke noe problem. Var der i en helg, så vi kunne parkere gratis i gaten utenfor. Grei betjening og god frokost. Koselig bassengområde, men ikke oppvarmet basseng.

Valuta for pengene
Har bodd flere ganger på Vila Galé-hoteller rundt om i Portugal, og er aldri blitt skuffet. Ekstra seng til barn inntil 12 år er gratis. Trekk for kaldt vann i svømmebassenget, den glohete terrassen rundt bassenget kunne solvarmet hele bassenget. Frokost-buffeten på Vila Galé Coimbra manglet en for meg vesentlig ingrediens, nemlig sjømat, men med fri champagne til frokosten glemmer vi det... Det umiddelbare nabolaget er litt sjuskete, men det er dog bare ti minutters gange til det historiske og unike Coimbra. Mine anmerkninger oppveies i godt monn av vennlig betjening, store, trivelige rom, stort bad og ikke minst prisen på hotellet. Full score over det hele. PS. Leitao-restauranten for enden av blindgaten serverer pattegris, kjøtt så mørt at det nesten ikke må tygges, en portugisisk spesialitet.

Prima ontbijt, fantastische voorzieningen, maar ook populair bij groepsreizen, dus af en toe in de rij voor de lift en het buffet. Voor die prijs had er wel een extra flesje water vanaf gekund op de kamer.

Deceiving as the hotel itself looks nice. The rooms are filthy. Smells of stale cigarette smoke and keep your shoes on as the carpet looks like it’s been trapping filth since the 70’s. The shower doesn’t drain properly and splashes water all over the bathroom floor. The beds are uncomfortable and worn. Using the pool requires you to purchase a swimming cap and they’re still playing pandemic forcing you to book a 45min time slot. I’d strongly advise against anyone booking here. Advertised as a 4 star, but more like a 2 star at best.

We have noted the less positive points you mention, which we had the opportunity to address during your check-out, and we assure you that they will be taken into consideration, and that we will do everything we can to improve the aspects mentioned. That being said, we would like to explain that we use the booking system for the indoor pool, so that the space is not crowded and all guests can have a calm experience when using the SPA. We would also like to point out that for hygiene and safety reasons, the use of a swimming cap is mandatory in our indoor pool and jacuzzi, and that this is mentioned on our website under the services tab. Regarding the cleanliness of the room, we would like to inform you that our rooms are inspected after cleaning, so that they are in perfect condition to welcome our guests, both in terms of cleanliness and tidiness.We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Flot, rent og meget venlige personale.
Flot, rent og utrolig venlige og søde personale. Et meget flot hotel med virkelige gode faciliteter. Virkelige gode værelser, med gode senge, stort og rent badeværelser. Fantastisk god morgenmad med alt hvad man kunne tænke sig. Flere forskellige juicer og cafe, friske bagt omeletter efter eget valg, flere forskellige slags brød, pålæg og kager.

We started on the wrong foot with a front desk rep named Vanessa, a lot of attituded, really not friendly and left us with a bad taste afterwards. Our room smelled like someone smoked in it, so we went back to the front desk and were lucky to find Sarah, who was a complete 180° from Vanessa. Amazing attention, friendliness and service. Second room AC was not working really well, so back we went and waited until Sarah was available. She again was amazing, went with us to the room to check the AC to make sure it wasn't something simple. As it really was the unit, she went down to work her magic. She came back a few minutes later with another amazing staff, Leonor, who I later found out is the assistant manager. They showed us another room that was cooler and let us decide if we wanted to move rooms once again, we did. That really showed us that we were cared for and we felt great. Leonor actually went the extra mile and sent us a surprise desert and wine to enjoy. All this to show that problems can happen anywhere at anytime, but what really speaks volumes is the way they are dealt with. Congratulations Vila Gale for having people like Leonor and Sarah. We would definitely stay with you again!

The hotel appearance was impressive, front desk staff very nice, and the grounds were beautiful....and then it all changed when we went to our rooms, dirty and stained carpets, the bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept on in a hotel and to ask for a full/queen and be assigned 2 twin beds stuck together was NO OKAY. The rooms were very disappointing

We had a two night stay booked for this hotel. While arriving late, the staff was very friendly upon greeting us. After dropping our luggage off we made our way down to the bar for a late night beverage and a quick bit. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed and the staff were cleaning up but Michele made us a cocktail and off to the room we went. (Around midnight) While getting ready for bed, i was reading a story out loud from the news. When all of a sudden we received a pounding noise from the room next door to quiet down. I was just READING out loud! Suffice it to say…the walls are very thin. Beds were ok. Breakfast adequate. Oh and you needed a reservation for the pool. We left a day early to make our way to Porto. Glad we did.

All the staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. I really liked the balcony in the room - the view of the University, especially at night was beautiful and peaceful. A la carte was on offer in addition to the buffet dinner which was a really good option and delicious.

Nice stay
Very nice hotel with a beautiful garden and pool area. We had the family suite and the sofa bed was not that comfortable to sleep on. Otherwise the stay was very nice, the staff were also friendly and helpful.
