«Just fantastic. John is a super host. We stayed in Mosgiel during the storm in oct -25. Total black out in the area. But John was prepared. Diesel generator, solar panels and batteries. And wifi was working the whole time. He even prepared for extra people, just in case. And the surroundings… well you have to see it. The apartement was great. Two bedrooms, three beds, kitchen, everything you need. »

«Room was nice and clean, but was woken before 7.30am due to renovations beeing carried out in room next door and had a floor sander vibrating through the wall directly behind the bed head.»

«It was lovely accommodation. Really nice location. A little tricky checking in because they hadn't received the email from expedia yet. The couch is used as a pull out bed which is fine but very uncomfortable for sitting on. That is the only complaint, which we did mention to them as well.»

«Very nice historic house, however bathrooms are outside - just be aware about this. Soundproofing isn't that great either, we were lucky to have quiet neighbors but if they were noisier I imagine it would be pretty annoying. Everything else was very nice and comfortable ❤️»

«I had confusion regarding my booking, the small freezer box in the small fridge was not freezing, squeaky bathroom door, leaking soap dispenser by the vanity. I had to have the heat pump o. All the time to warm the room. Lots of moisture on the single glazed windows. Definitely will not return»

«Our first stay in Alexandra for two nights was absolutely wonderful! The beds were so comfortable, everything was clean, the towels smelled fresh, and the bathroom was much bigger than we expected. The kitchen was also super convenient to use. There was a supermarket right next door, and a playground just five minutes away, which was perfect for the kids. They said the rooms were clean and comfortable, having a kitchen was important because I had set the builders up with their breakfast foods and they were sent back each night with their evening meal to heat up. «Only down side is that i didnt stay longer! A very cute little cottage with everything you need. Good heating, a very warm and comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom and a lovely little deck outside your room and access to a private outdoor bath. This is very close to Roxburgh and Ettrick traven is just up the road.
