Fully of roaches asked for new room the new room had more then the last then asked for my money back or half and I was told to leave and no money given back I will not allow my dead pets to stay there

The room smelled fairly strongly like old smoke. Which is kind of a big deal to me being its supposed to be smoke free. Had a lot of dust and dirt in the corners and places. Thankfully the beds and bedding and towels and stuff looked clean.

The room was dirty and we seen bugs! The refrigerator had food from the prior occupants! The back of the desk chair was broke, almost fell back on the floor! The only positive is it’s location to the State Fairgrounds!

THE CHECK-IN LADY BILLED ME $47.00 MORE THAN I WAS SUPPOSED TO PAY; WHEN I GAVE ME THE BOOKING, SHE SHOUTED AT ME. BACK AT HOME THERE WAS A SORTING, I RECOVERED THE $47. BAD LIGHT IN THE ROOM, VERY LOUD AIR CONDITIONER, I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN

It appears that the rooms were under renovation and they were very dated. The linens were stained and questionably clean. One of the rooms had not been renovated at all and was very dated and partially painted. The nightstand in that room was missing half of its veneer. The beds in that room were very uncomfortable. There seemed to be people staying at this property long-term as well, and the safety was questionable.

I stayed at the American Inn in Sedalia, Mo on August 22, 2026 to attend the Stare Fair evening Concert. I rented a room with two double beds for $255 per night. I have since discovered the room usually rents for $50 per night. The hotel was dirty, barely had room for two full size beds, stains on bedspreads thin dingy towels and washcloths… and had roaches crawling up the wall the next morning. I was definitely price gouged because of the Fair. I thought at the price I was paying having rented through Expedia the motel would be a nice facility. Don’t stay there if you have any other options. It is absolutely the worst I have ever had to stay in!

The room was small but it was just me staying there so it worked. The room was clean and in good condition. I liked the location close to stores and restaurants. I would stay there again if I'm down in the area.

We were extremely disappointed at the condition of the room. The queen bed was so close to the wall the person sleeping closest to the wall had to crawl across the foot of the bed to get in. Couldn't move the bed because of the frame. The lamps in the room were rusted on the bases. Only one set of towels for two people. No coffee cups or shampoo. There were roaches in the bathroom. We will never stay there again!

The property was clean, neat and we had everything we needed. We chose this because it did not have amenities and we did not want them. We needed a place to sleep and shower. Had fridge & microwave. No coffee in room or pool or weight room. Room was quiet and had AC. Location was good. Was between a Burger King and a Wendy's, so there were places to eat. Gas station across the street. Good central location to other businesses. Didn't see any point in staying places much higher for things we don't use. Only probably was getting them to answer in the lobby. Needed extra roll of toilet tissue and towels. Both times just happened to see the cleaner and told her what we needed. Needs were met. Would stay again as reasonably priced.

We had cockroaches in the bathroom. The sheets were stained. At 3am a neighbouring guest was calling our room phone, then knocking on our door asking for a lighter. We’ve now been in accommodation all the way across the US from New York. This is firmly the worst night we’ve had anywhere. And we’ve stayed in all sorts of places.

It was a filthy place. Felt unsafe while there Staff was belittling, unhelpful and would not refund money for two of the nights we did not stay. Room was full of roaches, floor was very sticky and beds were crusty. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The staff/owners were very rude and not accommodating with anything. They were out of everything like soap and shampoos and complained about giving towels to us. The room was not very clean. The owner got upset over $20 and called the cops on me if I didn’t leave the property for having my 4 kids stay with me last min. They also refund a refund to leave to another hotel: I will not be coming back and will not recommend this motel to anyone. We also found bugs behind our night stand during the middle of the night that were crawling up on our dresser. They treat you like a criminal. I did not enjoy my stay. The owner is drama and not helpful to anyone. Don’t waste your time or money there!
