The cabin was lovely. Expertly decorated. The only issues that we had were the weather. Upon arriving the wooden platform to the stairs to the cabin where iced over and my husband fell. There are no railings on the wooden platform. I only mention this as a warning to people who might be physically challenged. The stairs leading to the basement would also be challenging to someone who might have mobility issues. The beds were extremely comfortable. We did not use the hot tub nor did we make a fire and we never cooked in the kitchen. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything you need to cook. Ada Hoyt, the host was extremely accommodating and available for any questions. The cabin was stocked with toilet paper and paper towels but no bathroom spray. Cell reception for phone calls was hit and miss. My husband injured his toe prior to leaving on our weekend trip and my friend attempted to seek medical help from her family nurse but was unable to make or receive a phone call. She could receive text messages however. The cabin does have a landline but my friend chose not to use it. This was in no way the fault of the host. I simply mention it so you can plan ahead and bring an emergency kit with you. We hope to rent here again in the warmer months. The town of Clarksville is amazing. All the people are so friendly. I highly recommend a trip to the Woodbine Winery which is nearby and I highly recommend staying at this beautiful log cabin home. Thanks for hosting us.
