Great family trip
Everything was prepared and ready for us when we arrived. The hosts were gracious and the food at dinner and breakfast were chef-inspired and excellently presented. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed our stay.

Salve , grazie per la recensione. Comunque a titolo informativo perché forse non lo avete letto quando avete prenotato la mia struttura si chiama B&B che nel mondo significa bed and breakfast non HOTEL . Abbiamo tutte camere?! Si è vero abbiamo camere dove dormire con il bagno in camera di altissimo livello come da voi attestato facendomi dei complimenti. Abbiamo una sala colazione dove avete degustato dei prodotti fatti in casa con tanto di ringraziamenti. Ed anche una sala ristorante dove cuciniamo solo per clienti di alta qualità. Alla prossima e buona crociera.

Wow! What a great find. This better than any local hotel. Located perfectly for the port. The room is spacious and very clean. When you stay DO the dinner., you will be amazed and full. The town has a lot to offer in small shops and local restaurants with a touch of history. We spent a good afternoon exploring and then was treated with a top notch meal Marco was very accommodating to all of are needs.

This is a great property. The owner is very customer oriented and goes the extra mile. Excellent communication via text message in English. His English skills are good. Offers a great included breakfast and additional dinner options for extra cost.

From the moment we booked our stay at BB HomEitaly, Marco, the owner, began to ensure that we would have an optimal experience. He contacted us immediately, introduced himself and asked and arranged our transportation from FCO to his establishment and then to the cruise port the following day. One less detail that we didn't have to worry about. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Pia. Our room was perfect. Marco has thoughtfully attended to every detail: room temperature, mattress, pillows, wall colour, lighting, air purification. A true wellness experience. Days before our arrival, Marco reached out to us and asked if we would be interested in dinner: cod salad, mussels, ravioli with octopus sauce, and sea bream. We couldn't say no! All was purchased fresh the morning of at the market outside the bb and prepared by Marco and Pia. Who says that they are not chefs? Marco prides himself on offering local artisanal products such as bread, pastries, cheese, olive oil and sambuca Molinari. We sat and talked with Marco after dinner and we could feel the passion that he has for creating a place that we would call home. Marco e Pia: Grazie mille! Rita and Maria

BB HomEitaly Civitavecchia was perfect for our overnight stay before our cruise. Marco reached out as soon as we booked, He was so incredibly helpful! He arranged transportation from the airport to the BB and from the BB to the port. Marco was present on our arrival to the BB, helped with luggage, gave us a tour, and helped us arrange a fabulous dinner at My Lord. The following morning Marco had breakfast waiting for us. He makes a great cappuccino, and had a variety of fresh pastries, fruits, yogurts, nuts, meats, and cheeses, which were all excellent. The room was very nice, very clean, and had a nice bathroom. We can’t wait to come back! Next time we plan to have dinner here at the BB!

I was in Civitavecchia for one night on business and was quite satisfied with my decision to stay here. Great value and the location is safe and convenient to the train station (10-min walk) and especially restaurants. Soon after I booked, Marco reached out to greet me and then responded quickly to all my questions over WhatsApp before and during my stay. He’s friendly and helpful, and when I arrived, he greeted me personally and got me settled. He takes pride in his place and it really shows. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. I didn’t have dinner with him but the breakfast was excellent. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Marco was outstanding in customer service. We were greeted upon arrival, and that’s without announcing when we were actually arriving. He was simply waiting based on an estimate. He helped with luggage when it was not expected, and gave a very thorough tour of the property which, ultimately, takes 3-4 keys* to actually get though one’s doorway. * Building entry, elevator access (the fourth key if the elevator is used), second floor landing doorway, apartment entry. Secure building for certain. There is a wonderful breakfast room on site, and Marco was there to provide excellent service including very good cappuccino! This is a very good location to the port for pre-cruise stays. The only wish for improvement in the entire of the facility is the elevator- while it is very convenient to not hoist luggage upstairs, the elevator is VERY VERY slow…. probably 25 to 30 seconds per floor, truthfully. Don’t be in a hurry 😉 Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend staying here.

A Brief Stay in Civitavecchia
First of all, understand that Civitavecchia is a port city that does not normally attract tourists, but since a number of cruise lines dock their cruise ships there, passengers have to pass through the city when they embark or disembark from their respective cruise ships. There are few if any decent hotels in the city, and B&B HomEitaly is probably among the best of the lodging choices in the city. Whereas it is located in the heart of the city near the wharf where the cruise ships dock, it is not located in an easy to find location. It does not have on-site parking, but there is a public parking lot nearby where one can park their vehicle. The B&B has several room in a recently renovated 2nd floor of a mid-rise building. It is served by an elevator. Whereas we reserved a room with a double bed and a single bed, we were given a room with only a double bed. The only other furniture in the small room was a single desk chair and a small desk that was loaded with various items such that it could not be used as a desk. The bathroom was small but OK except that the rain-style shower head was in poor condition such that it sprayed jets of water here and there at random. The saving grace was Marco, the proprietor. He was most helpful, and he served a very tasty breakfast both mornings. If we ever sail out of Civitavecchia again, we will book a room in a nice hotel the main Rome airport, which is nearby, and use Viator to get from the hotel to the cruise ship dock.

Marco and Pia are caring and gracious hosts. It is an easy walk from the train station (although Google Maps sent me the wrong way)! Breakfast was a feast, including homemade Coconut Yogurt.

Very modern, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Marco goes out of his way to welcome and tend to guests. Rooms were on third floor but staff handles all your luggage. If you happen to be driving, parking could be a real challenge.

A “hidden gem” in Civitavecchia. From the time we booked to the end of our short stay in Civitavecchia, we were treated very well by Marco and Pia. We were also able to experience their home restaurant set menu - a fabulous meal that we will never forget. If we ever come back to Civitavecchia, we will definitely return to this B&B!

The client service was outstanding. Location was great and breakfast was delicious with homemade items such as yogurt, jam and chocolate cake. They are adding a small restaurant soon so that tired travelers can eat on-site — that room looks very chic, and we look forward to trying it the next time we are there. Will definitely recommend to others!

We arrived very late and had issues with our cell phone communication. Marcos the owner had tried texting us to find out what time we were arriving, but we were not receiving it. Consequently we were now two hours after check in. He graciously waited and welcomed us. Subsequently he provided very personable services throughout our stay. Marco is Mr. Wonderful and it was a delight to stay in his centrally located, quaint B&B. Breakfast was great which included home made coffee cake & coconut yogurt as well as blood orange juice, espresso, latte, and Americano if you have to have the taste of home . The room was welcoming with special features like the fresh apples decorating our night tables. It was spacious with comfortable beds, air conditioning, nice shower and window view of the street market one parking lot away. Marco organized our transportation to the cruise port(which would have been a nightmare without him) and to the airport. We highly recommend Marco's B&B and will return as soon as elevators are in this year. We loved our trip to Italy and staying at B&B HomEitaly was one of the highlights of our trip!!

Ok But Not Great
Too many steps to haul your luggage. Very noisy outside and you could hear people talking in the building all night. We were not able to get any sleep. My friends stayed in a hotel around the corner that was half the price with less noise, elevator service& a huge breakfast spread. Marco was very nice & helpful. However, I would not stay at this B&B again.

Location was great. Owner, Marco, was fantastic - prepared wonderful breakfast, very helpful with transportation. He was also proactive in reaching out to us in WhatsApp for arrival times etc. This was the ONLY place in Italy (including our cruise ship) that had an electrical socket by the bed!!! Extra points for that. Had unique lighting set up in the room, which was neat but we had a hard time figuring out. if we'd had more than one night we might have mastered.
