Quirky Boho studio in the heart of Covington! Perfect for a relaxing getaway, couples retreat, or business trip. Centrally located, we are blocks away from Covington's Wedding District, 10 minute walk to Mainstrasse Village and 1 mile walk to Cincinnati's river front. I highly encourage a walk across the historic Roebling Bridge, the predecessor to the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
The Space
Spacious and cosy studio in a historic duplex. Recently renovated to preserve the historic charm but also add modern amenities. This unit is located on the third floor of the house and has 33 steps in total. 3 to get into the stairwell space, 15 from the first to second floor, and 15 steps from the second to third floor.
The bedroom area of the studio has a queen sized bed, with two bedside tables that have touch activated lamps and a USB outlet.
In the living room and bedroom area is a stationary bike and a row machine for those that want to get a workout in while staying.
Feel at home with a fully furnished kitchen and dining room to share a home cooked meal!
The bathroom is located off of the kitchen and has a clawfoot tub. Please be aware that there is no traditional shower and the ceilings are angled. The tub does have a shower head that extends out for washing off.
Includes high speed wifi, smart tv in the living room area, numerous board games for endless entertainment, and a communal bookshelf with numerous great reads!
Street parking is available except Tuesday mornings from 8AM-10AM for street cleaning.
Access: Entrance in rear of the house and requires walking up 2 flights of stairs.
The Neighborhood
Founded in 1815, Covington has been a staple neighborhood of the Cincinnati area. Heavily influenced by German immigrants in the mid 1800's, the city has preserved its German heritage while maintaining the charm that has beckoned its citizens since its foundation. Centrally located, Covington is a 5 minute drive to downtown and Newport and a 15 minute drive to CVG Airport. Conveniently located 2 blocks away from Covington's Wedding District and Hotel Covington. There are numerous bars and restaurants along Madison Avenue to keep you well fed and entertained.
The historic Mainstrasse Village is a 10 minute walk and sure to entertain with its bountiful shops, restaurants, bars and park.
Devou park offers beautiful hiking trails and one of the best views of the city, and is a 10 minute drive.
Paycor Stadium and Great American Ball Park are a 20 minute walk across the iconic Roebling Bridge.
Be sure to visit Over The Rhine, Cincinnati's vibrant historic neighborhood. Believed to be the largest continuous historic neighborhood in the US, OTR has the largest concentration of Italianate Architecture. It's also the entertainment Mecca of Cincinnati.
Getting Around
Most of the area is walkable, but there are numerous other options. Uber and Lyft are very common, in addition to a golf cart service called Gest. Gest offers free rides(tip your driver!) throughout the city, and can be hailed through their app. There is also a shuttle service between Covington, Cincinnati and Newport called the Southbank Shuttle. Rides are $1/per trip and have numerous stations in the area.

My girlfriend and I live on the second floor unit of the house and are available for any questions, recommendations or concerns. We love sharing what Covington and Cincinnati has to offer, so please don't hesitate to ask for recommendations or help.
Things to Know
We do have security cameras on the entrance to each exterior door on the house. They are all located outside and run 24/7.
There are 3 stairs to get into the building, followed by 30 total steps to get to the third floor where the studio is located. The exterior door and the door to access the studio have a keypad lock with a unique code shared upon booking.
We are located in the city and there will be city sounds such as trash collection and emergency vehicles. We are tucked away on a quiet street but those sounds will still happen on occasion.
Price per night includes up to 2 guests. We do have a couch in the living room that folds down to be a bed that sleeps one. If you want to add additional guests(1 max for a total of 3 people in the unit), it's $10 per guest/night.
House Rules
Guests book with us for a clean, quiet and comfortable travel stay, not to hear other guests hosting a loud group, party or event. We do everything in our power to ensure this for all guests.
Without exception, NO SMOKING, VAPING, MARIJUANA USAGE!! Do not think it can be covered up, it cannot. We must extensively clean to remove it before other guests arrive. Smoking inside requires a $100 minimum service fee to which you agree by accepting our house rules at the time of booking. If you are a smoking guests, feel free to use the patio space in the back yard. You'll just need to police your butts. THANK YOU!
No shoes in the studio space. We have a shoe rack at the top of the stairs when you enter for leaving them in.
Wash your dishes. We’re happy to put them away if they’re still drying. If you don’t wish to wash your dishes, were happy to wash them for an additional fee($20).
Quiet hours 11pm-8am. Please mindful when in the shared stairwell. We use that space to access our unit and sometimes the first floor guests may use it to get to the back yard.
No hair coloring processes, it stains our bathroom fixtures and linens.
No tape on the walls or furniture, it removes paint.
All guests must have a working cellphone during the stay to access 911 in the event of an emergency and to communicate with us via the VRBO app.
We do not have child safety features, children are welcome if you accept liability and are comfortable knowing we have no child proofing along with many stairs.

Minors under the age of 18 must always be accompanied, in person, by an adult over 21. You must be 21 to book a reservation at our place.
Our property may not be used in the making or production or filming or recording of ANY productions including, but not limited to: music videos, pornography, movies, paid YouTube/online video accounts, etc.
NO PARTIES or EVENTS! Only the number of guests booked in your reservation are permitted to be in our place. A growing number of guests are booking Airbnbs with the intent of hosting a party or a sleepover for minors or other group event. We know our neighbors and live downstairs. Your party absolutely will be noticed. You will be removed from the property immediately.
In the event a hosted event is shut down with police assistance, you will pay a $250 fee to which you agree by accepting our house rules at the time of booking. Without police assistance, the fee is $150. If damages are incurred those additional fees will be added as required. $100 of the fee collected with officer assistance will be donated to the Covington Police Department or one of their department sponsored community efforts for the negative impact on the community and our immediate neighbors.
