From the moment we stepped inside, we were completely transported. The main room is lovingly themed after the Green Dragon Inn, and it truly felt like we'd just walked into the heart of the Shire. With its rustic charm, inviting hearth, and intricate, immersive details, it was easy to imagine hobbits gathering for laughter, music, and second breakfasts.The house felt like a treasure hunt in the best possible way. Around every corner were new surprises, thoughtful touches, and magical details that brought the world of Middle-earth to life. It was as if the entire home had a story to tell—and we got to be part of it.This wasn’t just a vacation rental. It was an experience. A lovingly crafted escape that rivals Disney in its quality and imagination. The property itself also holds hidden gems—little outdoor discoveries that enhanced the ambiance and made it even easier to unwind and lose ourselves in the world Kristi and her family so carefully created.Whether you're a Tolkien fan or simply someone who appreciates intentional design and storytelling, this stay is unforgettable. It’s not just a house to sleep in—it’s a place to dream.

My only regret was not booking a longer stay! This property was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail was incredible and it had such a cozy, homey vibe. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of time and effort that went into making this property look so incredible, but it was well worth it!! I've already told my d&d group about this place, and we can't wait to come back as a group and hang out here someday !!

Escape to the Shire

It was really a slice of Tolkien heaven. Like a bunch of theater kids turned a house into a museum from LOTR. The elf room with the Shards of Narsil is beautiful. All the lightbulbs flicker like real candles, so it’s just a really neat feeling when you walk in. I love the double queen bed set up they were so comfortable we slept great. It’s lacking a few basic appliances (regular coffee maker, hairdryer) and there’s really no where to hang clothes up if you need to do that. But all in all the pictures don’t do it justice and it was a really awesome experience and trip to Middle Earth.

Amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our time at the Green Dragon. Kristi was super communicative and kind, even providing a scavenger hunt for us! The pictures don’t do it justice—this property is stunning with the amount of detail and care put into it. Any LotR fan will love it just as much as we did! The house had great ambiance, was comfortable, clean, and we loved the selection of books, movies, and games. We will absolutely be coming back someday!

Journey to Middle Earth

The pictures do not do this property justice! We walked in and immediately felt like we were in the actual green dragon. The attention to detail, flickering lights, and even having the ability to watch the movies in a dwarven room, made our whole visit feel magical. The host was so quick to respond to any questions and even had recommendations available for local restaurants. We will be visiting again soon!

Awesome fun stay

This place was amazing. We only stayed one night but will definitely be back for a longer stay. It’s the ultimate middle earth home and we got to feed the mini pony and goats. Kids (14, 15) are still talking about it. Host was very nice and communicated easily and quickly with us.

Wow!

Thank you so much for having us. This home is truly amazing. We honestly booked this bc it looked so neat we did not expect what we got! Kristi put together a scavenger hunt which was so much fun. There’s goats and a mini horse on the property. Property is beautiful. We only booked 1 night as a half way stop spot. That was a huge mistake! We will be back to spend the time here that we wish we had.

Eclectic

The property is enchanting, a modern version of a medieval tavern. 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 bathrooms. Good beds. Common area has several tavern tables. The back porch is nice though the furniture is wrought iron. The kitchen is spacious and stocked with various china sets. Lovely grounds with goats and a shetland pony. Picturesque.

Coolest Vrbo yet!

We stayed for one night on our way through with a small group of teens. We all wished we’d had more time, and plan to come back! Everything was so clean, host is so accommodating, and what she’s put together for these themed rentals is just incredible! She’s even created fun little activities for guests. Middle Earth Experience

We had such a great time! Our stay was wonderful and everything we were hoping for! The host was amazing and we enjoyed the LOTR theme so much! Above and beyond to make it feel like just like you walked into a scene from the movie! And the scavenger hunt was the best bonus ever! Fantastic Themed Inn

Anyone who loves Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings will immediately fall in love with this place. The amount of character and detail will amaze you. The host, Kristi, truly has gone above and beyond with ensuring her guests feel as though they were in Middle Earth. The beds were so comfortable and the inn was quiet and relaxing. You can spend an hour doing a scavenger hunt which we all really enjoyed. Next time we visit the area we will definitely be back. We highly recommend!

Perfect getaway space close to Chattanooga

The owners have put such effort into every detail for such a fun lord of the rings getaway place! Complete with scavenger hunt and optional add-ons. Clean, organized, and convenient to Chattanooga. Great host with easy checkin and checkout. Lovely family getaway for son's birthday.
