Dear Kristin,I apologize for taking this long to respond to your review. I am so grateful that you chose to stay with us, but am sad that you did not have the experience you had hoped for. Like all hotels near O'Hare airport, we charge for parking, and I want to assure you that it is clearly mentioned on all online booking channels. In regards to bathroom facilities, unfortunately you are correct that we do not have them available near the pool area. Over the years, we have tried multiple times to find a location where we could add them, but it has proven to be more difficult then hoped for. I am happy though, that we are still offering a pool and whirlpool. A lot of newer built properties in the area are not adding pools at all, and we are fortunate that we can continue to offer that amenity to our guests. The property is clean, in good condition and close to the airport, but the night staff was terrible and I wouldn't stay there again unless staffing was taken more seriously. The night desk person was rude, dishonest, and gave us the run around. She sent us multiple places before she would dispatch a shuttle and then told us shuttle had left (it wasn't supposed to be dispatched until we got there). When I got frustrated she hung up on me. My son called and she hung up on him. We thought we found shuttle, but it took us to the wrong Marriott. They were kind and sent us to correct hotel. The desk person and cleaning/shuttle driver working both seemed high and one smelled of weed. They made lots of excuses about not being able to get the cot we ordered and lied about looking for it until my husband was persistent at which point desk person told the other guy in the back room to go get one (she told us he was already looking). This is not how I expect to be treated for these rates at an Airport Marriott when I fly in with family so late at night. Also, amenities list breakfast as a separate amenity from restaurant so we thought breakfast was included, but it was super expensive microwave food that cost more than if we ate at the airport. I was very disappointed for the price and not what I expected from this brand.

1/2 elevators were not working When the tv turned on it was so loud and there wasn’t a way to turn it down. Show would come on at regular volume but the start up was crazy loud. Very comfortable bed and size of room was great. Location was perfect.

Why is there still carpet in the rooms? Its ugly, moist and smells. The other Marriotts have wooden clean bare floors. And the bathrooms have no exhaust vents or heating vents. The toilets are too low to the floor like a middle school rest room. And the bathrooms are freezing cold. And I had to switch rooms because the toilet wouldnt flush and there were flies in my room. And upgrade to walk in showers. No on uses bath tubs anymore

We do not have a start date as of yet, but we do know that we will be replacing the bath tubs with walk-in showers in most of our rooms. Everything was fine… pillows were way too soft, the phone didn’t work along with a light in the room, and the breakfast was just ok as they were out of numerous things. Front desk was super nice. Convenient location.

While we obviously love to hear nothing but good things about our property, the more critical feedback gives us great opportunities to better ourselves. We have been through some transition, and I have recently joined the team and we have been making a lot changes. The phones have been fixed, and we recently ordered a whole bunch of new fluffy and fresh pillows.
