«Not sure why this place has such a high rating. Don't get me wrong, the property is very nice amd historic and the gardens are well kept. However the main functions that the hotel should provide are more of a 6/10 for me. The bed was incredibly hard and V-shaped in the middle. Maybe the bed is 500 years old too? The hotel rented out their facilities for a communion one evening and the loud guests were through the hallsways and outside and the sound carrys very well throughout the hotel so you ...

«Antonella is a lovely woman who speaks a little English. We were all able to understand each other with no problem. She was welcoming and gave us a lovely glass of wine from her vineyards when we arrived. Her surroundings are beautiful with seeing olive trees and vineyards and the town of Certaldo. Our room was big , very clean and bathroom was great. I would totally recommend going to her place . They also give tours of their vineyards and olive oil factory. I wish we could have stayed another ...

«The property is gorgeous! Very remote, so expect a long drive (the direction we arrived from required us to drive on a winding unpaved gravel/dirt road for a few miles). It was also a little difficult to find—there aren’t very obvious signs at the road. We parked in the wrong area because you apparently needed a code to enter the correct place, but we didn’t know the code until we walked in to reception. So we had to move our car.
