Accommodation Details
Summerhouse is a private waterfront villa overlooking Cherokee Sound, combining open water views, direct boating access, and easy walking distance to a quiet white sand beach.

The property sleeps up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, making it well suited to families, couples travelling together, and fishing or boating groups looking for space, privacy, and a strong connection to the water.

Waterfront & Dock
A private dock on a calm canal provides direct access to Cherokee Sound within minutes. This allows easy launching of kayaks and immediate access to open water for boating and fishing.

Boat Rental
Boat rental is available directly through the property, offering a simple and convenient option for guests who want to explore the surrounding waters without needing to arrange rentals elsewhere. This is a key part of the experience and allows full use of the location.

Beach & Location
A long, quiet white sand beach is approximately 300 yards from the house. From here, the well-known bonefishing flats can be accessed on foot, while five world-class bonefishing flats are also accessible within minutes by kayak or boat, making the property particularly attractive for those wanting both independent shoreline fishing and easy access to wider areas.

Outdoor Living
The large terrace is designed for outdoor living, with both covered and open areas for dining, relaxing, and enjoying uninterrupted views across Cherokee Sound. The terrace includes sofas, dining area, BBQ, and loungers, and connects directly to the main living area and master bedroom, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

Interior & Comfort
Inside, the villa is bright and open with vaulted ceilings and large sliding doors. The house includes a fully equipped kitchen, bar area with wine cooler, 75-inch TV with Bose sound system, and a dedicated office or study with monitor and additional sleeping space if required. The office/study includes a 27-inch monitor for guest laptop connection, providing a practical workspace for remote work or extended stays. A PlayStation 3 is also available for guest use. All bedrooms are equipped with TVs and Firesticks, providing free access to streaming services including Netflix and Prime.

Additional Features
Two double kayaks are available for guest use. A backup generator automatically powers essential systems including refrigeration, internet, lighting, key air conditioning, the TV, and cooking facilities, ensuring a more reliable stay in an island environment.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire property, including the house, terrace, garden, and dock.

For guests arriving by boat, advance contact is recommended to discuss access and local conditions, as water depths can vary with tide.

Paradise

This was our second stay at this property. We are hoping to make it an annual event. We can’t say enough about the property, the owners and the host , John. It is perfect for our family as we love being away from everything and you really feel that while at Summerhouse. John arranged for a nice boat and we were able to fish and snorkel in the area close to the house. We arranged for a guide, Captain Mark out of Treasure Cay to take us to Green Turtle to swim with Rays and Turtles and of course a stop for a Goombay Smash at Miss Emily’s , then on to Nunjack Cay for swimming with sharks and No name Cay to swim with pigs (a little to commercial for our liking but the trip was amazing). The house has everything you could need, we were sad to leave today and already planning our next trip and hoping to bring some friends who can stay in the newly remodeled lower unit ! Thanks again Stephen and John !!

Beautiful

The house was very nice. Bed was great. Screened porch was a nice place to sit and relax. View was perfect. The owner described the area accurately. He assisted me with procuring a great fishing guide and local car rental. We were surprised however to find that other folks were docking their boats at the dock. We had assumed that the dock was private, which was one of the perceived amenities we liked.

Our trip

We had a great time. The area is very nice. Very quiet and only a 5 minute walk to beach. The house was all you can ask for. Very clean and comfortable. I have to mention John, the care taker and boat renter. He was very helpful explaining the house, boat, and surrounding area. Only issue was the bonefish fewer than I had hoped. This could have been because the winds were bad every day and the temps were only in the 70’s. You just can’t control the elements. We only did DIY, I would recommend you get a guide and fish the Marls. I did see one of the biggest bonefish I’ve seen in over 30 years of fishing. Bottom line the house, caretaker, and owners are first class. AAA

Island Vacation

Summerhouse is a beautiful property to stay in. The inside was well equipped, and most all of our needs for an enjoyable stay were met. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. We saw sea turtles in the canal in front of the house. We enjoyed coconuts found near/around the property. I would definitely recommend this house to others. The one negative was no beach chairs.

Paradise

From start to finish (except the flight delays) this was the perfect vacation for our family. The hosts, Stephen and Joanne went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed from transportation from airport to local fishing guide recommendations. The house was clean and equipped with everything. We loved having the kayaks available to use. The view from the balcony is stunning !

Just perfect

Lovely house in a great location, overlooking a tidal creek and Cherokee Sound. A quick paddle or boat ride takes you out to the sound for beach access and fishing. I enjoyed watching the turtles and schools of bonefish in the creek right in front of the house. Stephen and Joanne were very helpful and provided lots of good info. Everything was as described and in good order. The Abaco Big Bird is nearby with fuel and local produce, essential groceries, beer, wine, etc. Kitchen is well equipped. Would gladly book again.

WONDERFUL!

If you think this sounds like a wonderful place to stay, just wait until you get there. It will be so much more than you expected. The location is private, the home is very comfortable, the setting and views spectacular. The rooms are large and very nicely furnished, The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need during your stay and is all of great quality, including the linens and towels. You will love it!

Excellent place to stay . There weren’t any exaggerations , all was as said if not a little better . The local property manager was responsive in a friendly manner and made sure all questions were answered . He gave us insights to the area and the binder Donna left there was thorough in instructions .

Family Holiday

The house is as described, on a channel with a beautiful view of Cherokee Sound. The beach is a short walk or a quick kayak out of the channel. The beaches are amazing, stretching as far as the eye can see. We rented the boat and explored the sound. We saw starfish, sting rays, lobster, conch, turtles, and too many different types of fish to name. Communication with the host and property manager was seamless. We look forward to returning.

Amazing house

This place is absolutely spectacular, very new and spacious construction along with wonderful hosts and property manager that make me feel at home, cassarina point is beautiful and all the people are very friendly. It truly is a gem! Close to good fishing and amazing beaches too

Unwind Time

The house and location were perfect and exactly what we were expecting. The evenings were perfect with a great ocean breeze. The house had everything we needed for cooking, etc. Having the boat to use was great and got us to our own island each day. Raymond was quick in responding when we had an issue. Highly recommend!

Great clean house

Great lay out. The fridge/freezer, air conditioning, internet, Host Donna, caretaker Raymond all worked great. We had a lot of fun. The Boston Whaler is good clean fun for all ages. Very close to town. Did not feel out of the way at all. We drove into town a took 5 different ferrys to different Cays and no one complained about the drive once.

Fantastic vacation

Thoroughly enjoyed this property!! The size of the property, the location of the property and the price of the property is unbeatable!! We appreciated the privacy the location of this house offered and how clean and well maintained the home is. Having the boat and kayaks was a huge bonus!! The house has everything you need. The marine life we experienced just in the canal was incredible. We are already missing sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and looking out at the beautiful water view. Talk about relaxing! We enjoyed Taco Tuesdays at Jake’s and enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Pete’s Pub. Donna, the host, and Raymond, the manager, were easily accessible for any questions and/or concerns. HIghly recommend this property!!!!

A satisfying getaway

We found this property to be a true treasure. This 3 bedroom home had beautiful views and was roomy and comfortable. Daily walks on the beach, fishing on the flats, boating and kayaking added to many joys we experienced.

Family Christmas Retreat

Great family retreat in the Bahamas away from the crowds. When you stay in Casuarina Point you are surrounded by locals, it's a quiet community. We loved having the whaler for the week, we had our three boys, ages 21, 18 and 14 so island hopping, swimming, boating, exploring and fishing was the daily routine. Thank you Donna and Fred for being so accessible and helpful for our many questions. We'll be back!

Wonderful home away from home!

Our family was right at home here! The view is amazing and the house was very nice, with great air conditioning! The front porch is awesome, with shade all day and a constant breeze. The property manager was very helpful and prompt to respond. We got to see a variety of marine life in the canal and also took the provided kayaks out to watch sea turtles in the bay. We really enjoyed our stay!
