Great hotel
We enjoyed our stay at Green Park hotel in the easter holiday and couldn't have any better hotel. Good service, nice rooms, and great restaurants at the hotel. We would definitely stay here the next time we are visiting Chennai!

Nice room. Next to a mall and supermarket. Good breakfast. Quiet enough. 2 clogged drains- the sink drain and shower floor drain so it was a pain in the...to use them. Road construction out on the main road.

This hotel boasts an excellent location and serves a good breakfast. However, the rooms are in need of updating, and the staff could benefit from increased awareness. Some requests require multiple inquiries, while others are handled efficiently. Certain staff members show genuine care, while others seem indifferent. For instance, the hotel has a pool, but there were no poolside towels. Despite asking reception and three different individuals, none arrived, leaving me to return to my room wet and partially unclothed, as the poolside restrooms were also devoid of towels. Additionally, after room cleaning, no toilet paper was added. On a positive note, some staff members at the reception and in the restaurants were exceptional.

I had a been fan for green park VADAPALANI for years. But the recent stay had showed me that quality had dropped drastically. Bad experiences : 1. Found underwear under the blanket showing that they never changed the blanket and bed linen or someone misused the room after I checked in. Staff and the manager were apologetic and assured me thorough investigation. I could not sleep in the hotel after I found it at 2 am. And checked out asap and moved to nearby hotel. 2. No security screening for guests and baggage unlike in the past. Anyone can enter hotel and move around rooms area in the pretext of attending event or to the restaurant. Good (still maintained): - clean restaurant - good food - excellent location

This hotel has gone down drastically. Pretending to be a 4 plus star hotel, surviving on events. Stayed here in 2022 also and at the time the restaurant food except breakfast was horrible. The property seemed ok. Now in 2024, except some common areas for show, the hotel is dirty and run down. Construction and dust everywhere, clueless front desk and suited staff walking up and down with no apparent purpose. Avoided the restaurant this time. Had wi-fi issue first night, but didn’t complain since it was late. Was assigned room feet away from construction. Next morning, after complaint at 10am was told new room would be assigned and luggage moved. Came back at 10pm, nothing was done. After going back and forth with front desk, another room assigned. This time not even able to connect to wifi. Back again to the front desk and they sent someone to check. Then the router had conked out, so had to be replaced. All this at night 11pm. This is why the entire place is useless and clueless. As for the room, stained sheets, no hand tissue, no slippers, banged up doors, dirty and mildewed showers etc. The reviews paint a rosy picture, but not reality. Avoid this place, nothing more than a 2-3 star all things considered.

Considering the price and location it was not that bad, just fair. The most disappointed thing was the bathroom. Toilet water did not flush though sometimes it worked. It was very stressful for me and could be a reason for visitors to avoid staying here again.

My mother and I stayed at Green Park for two nights and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning trip to Chennai. The hotel is spotless, the staff are so polite and welcoming. They attend to your every need so promptly and happily. Food was excellent and the location perfect. The Hotel Green park is excellent in many factors. Location is great, right next to the mall, temple, metro station. It felt very safe, staff were amazing, service was awesome, their breakfast buffet is a must have. The lobby has this great vibe to hangout for hours. I stayed for 9 days at a stretch and not one day did I have a bad experience. I will recommend this hotel and also go stay again!

This property caters to local families and is probably fine for some needs. Pros: Lobby area was nice, non smoking rooms, and hardwood floors in rooms. However, would not recommend for business and international travelers. Cons: Internet was glitchy and then stopped working altogether in the evening. Was told IT person left for the day so they couldn’t help. Local food looked descent, but other options were not as you would expect. A very localized or different version of what you’d expect is served. Cappuccino maker at breakfast looked great but didn’t work. Coffee is not served at lunch at the barbecue buffet restaurant. Called down for toilet paper as the room had very little and finally received a tiny roll an hour later. Pool had pigeons and pigeon feathers in it, so didn’t look appealing to swim in. Lastly, was charged extra at checkout for two teens. On that piece, I would recommend not booking through Expedia, but a website that allows you to designate ages so as to get correct pricing from the beginning. Could have been informed at checkin, but was not. While staff seemed pleasant, they were not able to help in any of the situations and didn’t seem to be service oriented. Overall, disappointing.
