«We had 5 wonderful days at Renaissance in Carambola Beach. Very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Two very good restaurants, both facing the beach, with options to sit in or out doors. Very nice beach and beach facilities. Snorkling OK immediately westwards from the beach, but fantastic at Cane bay Beach a few km eastwards. We rented a car and "did St Croix" in the morning/mid day, then relaxed in the afternoon and evening at the beach and in the hotel. Hope to be there again some time.»

«My fiancé and I stayed 3 nights here in March and while I wouldn't call it a 5-star hotel, we had an excellent experience. Something to consider when staying here is that it is located about 40 minutes away from the main city area (Christiansted) and the roads leading up the hotel get narrow and the cell service gets shotty. The drive is so far out that some Uber drivers decline your ride because they do not want to drive out that far. I would def let them drive instead of renting if you are ...

«The room was comfortable and had more amenities than other places I have stayed in St.Croix. The owners were friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful and the breeze enjoyable in the evening. You do need an all wheel drive vehicle and should definitely arrive while it is still light out. The WiFi was dependable.»

«The website is false and misleading, only one pool and only 1 bar and the Italian restaurant is closed for good because it’s now an event center for the casino! Your only options are buffet with no gluten free options as they advertise! You have food at the bar when the lazy chef feels like cooking, the bartenders are awesome kinda felt bad for them to have to listen to everyone complaining about the awful resort! The gym and mini golf (only thing they offer) is outdated and disgusting, too bad ...

«This was an excellent hotel in all ways, close to the beautful beach, nice and friendly people, clean and tidy etc. There could be one minus: we could miss the breakfast, but when you are a Norwegian, and there is a kitchen with all you need, you can walk into the charming city of Frederiksted and buy what you need, so compared to all the other positive things, this is not a problem.»

Poor water pressure, inconsistent drainage, flushing that looked like they hadn’t been updated (or properly maintained) in decades made even the simplest routines frustrating. Hotels here are mainly historic / small, which keeps with the island. With that said I loved staying at this hotel.
