Loved the screened in porch!
We had a relaxing time during our short stay. The screened in porch was wonderful. The location was very peaceful and beautiful. We even had deer visit us each day. Everything was very clean and the beds were comfy. It was a bit difficult to dock the boat, not much space left at the dock during our stay.

Excellent House on the Lake!
The property owners have set up a perfect lake house for a family to enjoy! It had everything you would need in a great location. This home was perfect for our family get together. My son was able to bring his boat and have it docked right at the house. Everyone enjoyed the use of kayaks, boat rides, s’mores at the fire and playing in the lake. The location was well kept and a beautiful view plus it was so quiet. The children enjoyed seeing deer, geese, ducks and fishing off the dock. We loved the porch on the back-no bugs! Well supplied and very clean. Thank you for a wonderful family weekend!

Life IS better on the lake!
We decided to do this last minute vacation before dropping off our daughter off at UofSC. We have friends that live close that have a boat that they let us borrow during our stay and we are boaters so that made our stay great! The house was very well stocked with all kitchen supplies (we cooked every night and never felt like we needed something that wasn’t already there.) The house had a great set of basic needs stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, spices, coffee filters, dish soap, travel sized toiletries to get the week started. We loved sitting both on the screened in porch and on the dock to look out into the water or watch the sunset. The boat dock had a lift that accommodated a 26 ft open bow boat, we did not lift it, only tied off there. The dock had kayaks and noodles that were fun for the kids and adults. My teenage son enjoyed playing pool with my husband and I throughout the week. This is a LAKE house, it’s not a spotless mansion on the lake. It could probably use a good power wash on parts of the porch but it didn’t bother us at all. We actually spent every night out there except a few hours while we played pool. The owners were very accommodating to our last minute stay which was helpful. The water is well water which is well maintained because the water didn’t smell and tasted fine. The owner was worried about any leaks because of this, so when the faucet leaked some we let him know. He ordered a new faucet but it wasn’t installed prior to us leaving. This was a small inconvenience in which we shut off the water to kitchen sink when we weren’t using it. It didn’t seem like an old faucet, so not sure why it leaked. To be honest the kitchen was remodeled and very pretty and enough room to cook a feast (which we did). We didn’t really use most of the TVs, except the one downstairs which worked fine. Showers had great pressure. Lots of extra space in yard for games/kids running around, you can swim off dock or right off the cement ramp if you want. We swam off dock during downtime. The fire pit was cool and we had all intentions of using it, but never got around to it (too hot). My only real complaint would be the pillows, I ended up having a kink neck all week and my daughter said the same about her pillow. The beds were average as far as comfort. I would 100% come back to this house, so quiet and serene. My husband and I have talked about retiring with a beach house but after this vacation we are leaning towards lake house.

Beautiful, relaxing, quiet location
This house is beautifully located on a lovely lot. Check in was easy! The water is beautiful and we had a lovely view of the sunset every evening. There is a huge fire pit, great for marshmallow roasting! We enjoyed the grill and eating together outside on the expansive screened porch. Downstairs was great for the teens with lots to do and the yard was great for my athletes to play spikeball, frisbee, football and blow off their steam from a big school year! The kayaks were fun and we rented a sailboat from a nearby yacht club, with which our club is reciprocal, and the kids sailed all day. I would love to come back to this property and I can't wait to see the finished improvements they are working on!

Just What We Needed

Cozy, quiet paradise
From the start of the reservation, the owners were amazing. They communicated and replied quick and often. We appreciate their flexibility with our reservation. Upon arrival we knew it was going to be perfect. The location of the home is in a quiet, I mean quiet, cove of the lake. The porch is a wrap around and the driveway is circular style in and out and can fit many vehicles if needed with easy exit and entry. The grocery stores and restaurants were barely ten minutes away. Water access couldn't be easier with a convenient slanted area to launch our kayaks and the dock with plenty of space and room for activities. The water was EMPTY during the week, it was amazing. The star of the show for us was the screened porch. It's gigantic and even has a screen on the bottom, so no mosquitos. We drank coffee in the morning and ate most of our meals out there. It has seating for 8-10 ppl with a master bedroom door for easy access. The house itself has room for up to about 8 people comfortably in my opinion, though I am sure the owners have a limit they prefer. There is a recreation room in the basement with a pool table, a foosball table, TV, and a large couch. If you want to play pool, I recommend bringing your own pool sticks as theirs are missing the chalk tip. The lower porch isn't screened but there is plenty of seating available. Despite what some reviews said, we found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed with a quick trip to the grocery store. The master bedroom was perfect and the mattress was very comfortable for us. Another bonus was the keyless entry. It was nice not to have to keep up with anything while on the water. Overall, we loved it. We didn't leave the house because we didn't need to. Pro tip, bring a kayak or boat and paddle out to the main channel to watch the sunset from the water. It took no time at all and was an amazing end to the day. Thank you to the owners for sharing their lovely home.

Labor Day Weekend on the Lake
Great experience! Perfect house, yard, dock area and fire pit too! My family stayed at the house and we had friends in the area stop by via boat or jet ski or car and hang out during the day with us! The cove was great for kids to swim and kayak and play on our water mat. Morning coffee on the dock and evening wine by the fire pit what more could you ask for! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Great Lake vacay
We had a great stay at this property. It was very clean and located on a nice cove on Lake Norman. Neighborhood is quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed renting skidoos and boats and spending time on this beautiful lake. Evenings were well spent by the fire pit or playing cards on the screened in porch. Only minus we can think of was somewhat lacking kitchen supplies and would have been nice to have a drying rack for towels and laundry.

First Time Staying on Lake Norman
The lake is beautiful, the house was just as described. The screened in porch was a plus for my 91 year old mother in law, she spent a lot of time out there. I have my son and newphews all ranging in age from 11-23 and everyone had so much fun. We got several fish, had a fish fry one night with catfish and brim. I want to thank the host for the hospitality of sharing their home. I will definitely go back. Mooresville was a wonderful town, so clean and enjoyable. We visited the The Lazy 5 Ranch it was fun for all young and old. Thank you again.

7 night stay
Amazingly we found this place available for a full week going into the 4th of July. The 3 bedrooms, porches, sitting areas and game room provided plenty of space for everyone to have fun. Some of the beds were not too comfortable and the kitchen could use a decent cutting board and additional cookware. Overall nice place with a good view of the cove. The only real complaint was the last minute price increase of $40 night that showed up on VRBO.

Worked Well with our Two Grand-Daughters
We stayed at the house with our two granddaughters, ages 9 and 7. We enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and foosball. Our favorite was the large screened-in porch. We ate every meal on the porch. We enjoyed seeing many deer in the yard and quite a few herons and osprey.

The outdoor space is exceptional. The dock and kayaks were easily accessible and the yard is great. The beds are ok. The house has more of a cottage feel. The kitchen could be better stocked but there was enough with some improvisation...the fire pit was a treat at the end of the day.

Fantastic Lake House
My husband & my 2 kids thoroughly enjoyed our week in this wonderful house on the lake. We were there the week between Christmas & New Years, so we didn't get to take advantage of activity on the water, but boy did we enjoy making s'mores with the kids at the fire pit and sitting out on the screened porch in the morning with hot coffee. The house was perfect for us, our teenage son was thrilled to have the room downstairs on his own next to the game room, while our daughter was right upstairs next to us. The open floor plan in the main area + the kitchen was very conducive to hanging out and being together. We really enjoyed the pool table and the foosball table downstairs, gave us activities (other than electronics) when we had a rainy day. Finally, having the washer/dryer was really helpful in being able to run a few loads before heading home, reducing the pile of laundry that was to be done once we got home. We would definitely come back again and would love to enjoy this house during the warm weather so we could kayak and rent a boat.

Golden Sunsets
Hosts were quick to respond to any issues or questions. The sunset could easily be watched from the campfire circle. Dead end, narrow road was just right for young bicyclists. Quiet cove provided lots of space to kayak, swim and fish off the dock. Boat mooring was easy and kayaks were really enjoyed. The large basement was busy with games and kids’ sleep area. Porches were pleasant night and day. Family came from a distance and really maximized in all the place had to offer. Thank you for sharing your place on Lake Norman!

Great screened porch in a beautiful location
We stayed at this lovely home in late May 2020. The circular drive was very helpful as it came close to the front porch/kitchen door, which made unloading effortless. The house was very clean and comfortable. We were a family of 6, adults and never felt cramped. The kitchen and upstairs living space was smaller than expected, but very nice, and with the large screened- in porch, outside grill and downstairs family room, it was never an issue. The queen bed and the two twin beds downstairs were comfortable . My adult sons who shared the room with the bunkbeds said their mattresses weren't very comfortable. and the frame was not made for adults to climb into bed as it swayed a lot. Between the swaying and the warmer air up in the upper bunk, we moved the mattress to the floor for safety and comfort sakes. The property was on a lovely cove. The dock was nice, but definitely not a hangout spot. We had rented a pontoon for two days so it was nice to be able to dock onsite. It wasn't an issue for us, but the lights near the dock were not working while we were there. The screened back deck space was a hit with everyone. We were able to sit out from early morning to late night without being bothered by bugs. The table was great for dining and board games. Great Wi-Fi as promised for the one with online classes. We had some minor issues (burned out bulbs and pool stick missing their tips), but were able to quickly contact the wonderful owners - who were very pleasant to deal with. The lake was large and seemed to be almost entirely residential except for a few marinas, We are used to staying on lakes with some public beaches and restaurants, but found none in our explorations. The kayaks were another hit and for Memorial Day weekend, it was still very quiet and calm. During the week we were one of three boats on the water. As far as neighbors, there were younger teen boys on one side who enjoyed the water without being too loud, The other side seemed to be a rental as well, but again everyone was quiet and even with a house under construction across the way, it was peaceful, but not so quiet that you felt you were being loud when playing music while playing yard games. There was enough close by stores and a produce stand close enough for all matter of needs. My only comment regarding timing: We were there from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend on. There was a lot of pollen on the deck - allergy sufferers beware! One of our best stays yet!

Would recommend your home to anyone, a very nice place
Dispite a slow entry our stay was very nice. Home was cozy, inviting, clean and had just about everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. Beautiful quiet cove,a super porch to relax on, good pier to fish on. Saw lots of things to have fun in the summer for children. The game room was fun. Bed and sheets was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, even with spices.(could have used 1 more big bowl) But we would recommend your home to anyone and we would hope to be able someday to return and enjoy it when the weather was warmer. Perfect lake house for our family’s little getaway
My husband, children, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home!! It was perfect for our family! My husband and I could relax upstairs while the children played downstairs in the rec room or sat in the bedroom watching TV. The kids loved using the kayaks as well and fishing in the lake right behind the house. The house was beautifully decorated and so comfortable! It seemed to have pretty much everything we needed! Thank you for such a lovely stay!!

Alot of unexpecteds
This home is nested in a very quite neighborhood with some permanent residents that speak frequently with the owners. Immediately upon arrival, we pulled our very small john boat around to the back yard so we could place it in the water via the private launch. As we were standing, admiring the dock, before unpacking/unloading or even backing our boat up to the launch, my phone in the car was already ringing off the hook with multiple missed calls and a voice mail. Neighbors had called the property owner to tell them we were going to use the launch. The owner immediately became alarmed and called to advise that the launch was under construction, was old and not allowed to be used even though it was imaged in the listing, looked perfectly normal and had no signs, barriers or emails advising there was anything wrong with it. Our boat was so small we could have walked it down the launch if they hadn't freaked out. I immediately felt I was doing something wrong, though I was not, and that we were being watched every step we took. Going into the house, which was adorable, cozy and clean, we found hand written sticknotes, typed notes, quit write ups on all sorts of paper types scotch taped all through the house on the doors, door locks, walls, mantle and toilets. It definitely took away from the charm and was immediately noticed and questioned by visitors we had. The basement bedroom with two beds, that my parents (in their 60s) planned to use I soon found out had NO DOOR. The stairs going to the basement had no door and the bedroom was at the bottom of the steps with no door. The image in the listing makes it look like it has a door to close, but that is the door to the unfinished portion of the basement with the washer and dryer that was not lockable or even able to use as a changing room safely. So, they had to stay in the bunk beds up stairs, in the room with no air movement. And my kids had to be downstairs further away. I had to buy a fan to make the temperature of that room bearable. There had been guests in the house prior to our check in and their trash almost completely filled the trash cans so before our stay was over we were scrambling to make all the trash fit in the driveway cans until pickup. The water was amazing in our nook, other than the extreme traffic on the open lake that constantly kept wakes rolling in. Adorable, peaceful home, I just don't want the next guests to have all the surprises we did. And be sure to pack a fan or two.

It is in our rental agreement that you signed about not using the boat ramp. You forgot to mention that you drove your SUV over our lawn. The helpful notes are posted to help guest with their stay. For example: notes to let them know the remote controls are for the outside fans, wi-fi passwords, trash day, etc. Sorry, if these were an issue for you. Other guests have found the notes helpful. We have rented our home for over a year and never had anyone complain the way you do. Our home is beautiful and we will not let your one sided review take away from that. Our AC works fine and has just been serviced.

Just what our family needed
We are a family on the go. Seems like there is something constantly going on and never much time to just sit and enjoy each other's company. This vacation house was just what we needed. It was a great place to relax, rewind and reconnect. The house was extremely clean, had all of the necessities and being right on the lake was amazing. The views of the lake from the kitchen, living room and deck were great. The house is located in a very nice area as well. The owners were very responsive upon check in and check out. They even answered a few questions I had prior to check in. I would definitely recommend this to others looking for a family getaway.

Great view of the lake!
We enjoyed our stay at Lake Norman. We were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving and needed a few extra beds. This house provides us a great place to spend the night and be close to family (2 miles away). We would love to come back when the weather is good for enjoying the lake. The owners were great to communicate everything we needed to know. Happy Thanksgiving!
