The main advantage of this property is its location; you simply can't beat it if you want to sample the pleasures of Charlevoix. It is also very clean and well equipped by an owner who communicates well. Despite being in” the middle of it all,” even during Venetian Festival, it was very quiet. However, there are some downsides.
First, there is no comfortable place to sit. The sofa is saggy and almost impossible to sit on for a length of time. There are no easy chairs, and the chairs that are provided are very narrow and also do not lend themselves to sitting for any longer than absolutely necessary.
The kitchen, although roomy and well equipped, is burdened with the most complicated and inefficient cook stove top I've ever seen. I personally bought one of the same dimensions and features from GE which heated and cooled much quicker and didn't require an instruction manual or several minutes of trial and error to operate.
Although It didn't bother me, my bride did not like the sheets which she said reminded her of the burlap sheets her mother used to make her from flour sacks when she was a little girl. Apparently it is an attempt to use old fashioned materials but it loses modern comfort.
The decor is intended to look old fashioned in both its furnishings and its artwork. That is fine, but it doesn't explain why there is no handle on the bathroom door or holder for toilet paper, which has to sit on the floor beside the stool. Just adding these two simple things would h
