Stay at The Monroe on Spring, a fully renovated 1885 Charleston manor voted Best of Charleston. Blending historic grandeur with modern luxury, this 5-bedroom retreat features elegant interiors and sprawling porches perfect for relaxing after exploring King Street’s shops, dining, and nightlife just steps away.



The Space:

This expansive home is complete with 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, 3 kitchens, 2 living rooms, and several outdoor spaces. Every nook is furnished and fully-equipped with high end items.

With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Over Promised, Under delivered

Home was clean and is a great location. The furnishings in the two dens were extremely old and worn out, not really conducive to family gatherings. The house's lighting is very poor. The bedrooms need blackout shades, the light pours into the bedrooms all night. The house needs an update. There were some issues with communication prior to arrival, felt like I was dealing with AI and not an actual person online. The couple of times I spoke to management people they were very responsive.

Stunning home!!

What a GORGEOUS house!!!

We celebrated my daughter’s bachelorette party at the Monroe and let me tell you about this beautiful house! It is perfectly located, so close to King Street. The decor is elevated elegance! We had plenty of space and bathrooms for our party of 14! My daughter’s immediate reaction to this house is that it was a 20 out of a 10! LOVE THIS HOUSE! We will be returning!

Family vaca at Charleston

Our family had a great time. The home was a good location for walking to restaurants shopping, etc.. it was a very safe area for our children and grandchildren. It was an easy drive to the beach, or to boat tours and museums. There were 11 of us in total so we rented a complete house, and it worked out very well.

Amazing place for a large group of people

I cannot speak highly enough about my stay there. Everything was exactly as advertised. Clean, centrally located, accommodating for our group of 13 guys. Communication was flawless. If you are a large group of people who want to stay at a great place that is centrally located and not have to worry about anything during your trip....this is your place.

Wonderful family time in Charleston

This house is perfectly placed and worked well for our family - 11 strong with ages ranging from 1 - 92! For a family of our size we were disappointed in that there was not real 'gathering' space for all of us. The beds and bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The front room is extremely noisy even with the provided sound machine. All in all the house worked fine for us.

Cute house; needs better descriptions

House listed 5 bedrooms with one room with twin beds; did not specify or have pictures of two twin bunk beds for kids instead of two separate twin beds for adults (which was what we were expecting). We would have made different arrangements if we knew.

Beautiful house central to everything in Charleston

Beautifully decorated, large house perfect for two families- we were a total of 9 with tons of room to spare. Less than a mile walk to literally everything, wrap around two story porch perfect for people watching and your morning coffee or evening cocktails. Three kitchens, two sets of washer and dryer. Only drawback is if you stay in one of the street-facing bedrooms (1 right off downstairs kitchen and one upstairs) you can hear literally everything (people waking, Cars driving by, early morning delivery and garbage trucks) and there’s construction going on next door that started at about 7:45am each morning so bring some ear plugs. Our friends and kids slept in the bedrooms that face the back of the house and didn’t get woken up like we did. All in all this was a great place to stay and we highly recommend this house for large gatherings.

A Charleston Charmer

We have a large family that gathers together each Christmas. This was the perfect place to host everyone. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchens were equipped with everything we needed. It was in a great location..short walk to King St., the grocery store, restaurants of all kind. The management was very responsive. I would highly recommend this incredible home.

Perfect Spot for a Girls Weekend

The property could not have been any more beautiful. We loved how much space there was, every room (even bathroom) was Instagram worthy. Beds were comfortable and everything felt clean. Would recommend to anyone going to Charleston with a big group of people.

Pristine Home with Phenomenal Hospitality

Most beautiful property

This was such a special place. You can tell that meticulous planning went into the spaces, the layout and the finishing/furnishings which made for a luxury experience! I don't think I can ever go back to having only 1 fridge in a vacation rental again (especially with 16 people!) Our favorite parts of the stay were walking everywhere and having a chef prepared meal around the huge upstairs table (which is beautiful and custom made!!) we will never get over the details of this house! Everything you could ever want.
