Filthy
House had cobwebs and filthy light switches that’s just the beginning. Don’t stay here if you are a clean person. Also way too many chores why charges all the fees if you want the people staying there to do all the cleaning work? Pond across the street looked nice. They have you remove the sheets but fold up the bed spread, so I’m guessing they don’t wash they bed spreads? Same with pillow shams? Gross.

I am sorry you were so unhappy with the house. Perhaps your expectations were too high for a country home. Most of our guests are quite happy with the house/

Peaceful Getaway
Flight's End was more wonderful than we anticipated. The home is cozy with all the things you need for a relaxing visit. We enjoyed the beauty of the area, the excitement of the pond (kayaking, otters, beavers and ducks) and took some of the helpful suggestions of our hosts. We will definitely be bac!

Peaceful country home with serene babbling brook!
Sweet house is in the middle of NOWHERE. Didn't see a car or other human for days but the serenity was perfect.The handicapped accessible ramp to sliding doors worked perfectly for my 89 year old mom. Her first floor bedroom had no steps (photo on the listing shows a couple steps but they're on the opposite end of the room leading to the quaint "pond-view room" complete with 2 pair of binoculars.)The house has everything needed with ample extra blankets,towels etc and everything imaginable in the kitchen except we didn't find flatware until checkout as that was in a drawer facing OUT of the kitchen,not IN. Queen beds in each of the 2 upstairs bedrooms were VERY FIRM so I had a cheap 1.5" get memory foam topper delivered along with groceries by Instacart.I have serious spine/back problems so usually pack an unopened 2" topper even for upscale hotels or the in the Caribbean.Its placed under the mattress pad so I leave it for comfort of next guests or as a "tip" for housekeepers.The house has a well organized book with instructions about everything. WIFI is sufficient but bring a booster if that's important for you.My family gathered for buriel of my sister's ashes nearby.The babbling brook was perfect for peaceful relaxation and we all enjoyed our stay despite the sad circumstances.Was able to bring my dog & could have pitched a tent if needed for more people. Host is very kind and helpful but not intrusive.This is a well-used homey house but not luxurious.Perfect for us!

Great location!
We loved the location! The property was beautiful! Loved the pond & wildlife. The house was just like the photos. 3 comfortable bedrooms, and bare mattresses in the basement. (We all enjoyed the upstairs bedrooms.) The only bummer was that the washing machine was broken.... which was one of the reasons we chose this house, since we were in town for work and needing to wash our work clothes throughout our stay.

Best stars display and shooting star sighting
Even though we did not spend daytime in the house, the night celestial view was breathtaking. I don’t remember seeing so many stats ever, and the shooting star sighting was worth the mosquito bites. We hope to return soon. Thank you !

Special location, very helpful and hospitable hosts
This house is exactly as listed and prior reviews characterize it well. The location is really beautiful - country road in the Berkshires near both an orchard for apple cider and dairy for yogurt they sell in our fancy Boston shops. The pond across the way is quite pretty, and the hosts are wonderful about access their kayaks and bike to explore the area, and helpful with stuff like the remote control, etc. The house was extremely clean, and comfortable. Deck/fire pit worked great outside with collapsible/portable table for dinner. We were in town for Zipline adventure at Zoar, and drove to Williamstown and back. Also did a big bike ride of the area (hilly, mostly dirt roads). Had we had more time, better weather we would have done some tubing in the Deerfield River. Berkshire East activites are just minutes away. Came out on Rte 2 and went back thru Northampton (to Boston), and saw the Dinosaur tracks on the way. Great drives, great long weekend. To manage expectations: - the stream behind is lovely and looks like a great place to explore but right now (late July 2023) the surrounding brush/trails are povergrown so tricky to access/see (i.e. with some work could be great swim hole/paths to wander) - pond was very pretty for kayaking, but the Canadian goose droppings were formidable - ensure you have good rubber-soled shoes/boots - basement rooms are really exactly as they look in the listing pics - AC worked downstairs but fans needed upstairs

Quiet and Comfortable
If you want a quiet getaway this place is great. Bring a large frying pan and a sharpe knife. Everything else for cooking in is there. We were comfortable using the first and second floor bedrooms. We did not use the basement sleeping quarters. The house had excellent information for restaurants and things to do in the area. I gave it five stars because we got exactly what we wanted.

Country home away from it all. 3 adequate bedrooms. Kitchen supplies except for salt and pepper. Couldn’t figure out how to use the television, even with instructions. A book of house “ RULES “ that would choke a horse. I felt like I was back in the army

Home had older furnishings but was exceptionally clean, very quiet and serene. Excellent location to explore western Ma. Would definitely recommended, only complaint was that the provided sponge in the kitchen desperately needed to be changed :) Thank you!

Serene and close to the marathon venue.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was our base for the marathon race. Walks with the toddler and dog were perfect with the pond nearby and ducks & geese in abundance. Beds were comfy. BBQ and back yard were great. We would stay again.

Pleasant stay in a tranquil setting

Beautiful little house
This house is very well maintained, and clean. The first 2 days of our stay, it was 13 degrees at night., but the house was nice and warm. We enjoyed the sitting room that looks out over the pond. I would recommend this home to friends to stay.

Clean, peaceful, and just lovely!
Flights End was the perfect weekend gathering spot for three girlfriends and a dog. We cooked delicious dinners, sipped coffee by the pond, and caught up on some much needed rest. We felt right at home and are so lucky to have found this spot, thanks for sharing your home!

Wonderful Thanksgiving in the Woods
We enjoyed our stay at Flight’s End so much. It was the perfect place to gather family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Highlights included a stunning snowy walk through the Hawley Bog, and a scenic trip to the wonderful Clark museum. We also picked up beautiful souvenirs at a gallery in Shelburne Falls. 10/10 would rent again!

Cozy spot accessible from Northampton

Memorable Stay
The environment exceeded our expectations in the lap of nature. We have enjoyed our stay every moment. Great host. The only small issue was we were seven people and there were 3 beds. One person had to sleep on the sofa for which we were not prepared. But everything worked out perfectly. Hope to go back next year.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Flight's End. There was a bunk bed in the basement as well as a fold out couch. Often times kids bring the bunk mattresses up and put them in the Pond Room, off the downstairs bedroom. When our kids were growing up they and their cousins always chose the basement as it became their domain, never ventured into by adults.

Autumn, mountains and tranquility.
Flight's End is coming home, welcoming and comfy. We loved the pond room and enjoyed the ducks every day. This is a definite plus to relaxing. Would recommend this home to families who love the country. Fall foliage, one of the reasons we come to MA, was awesome. We also have relatives in the area so this home is very convenient for us.

Lovely stay!
The family had a lovely stay over labor day weekend - we really enjoyed canoeing the pond and enjoying the outdoors. The weather was fantastic, so we were able to get out and about - the nearby state park had some great hiking. For those of you with little ones, they do have a toddler bed and a pack and play (as well as a play set the one-year-old adored)- although the place isn't childproof. Because there were large spaces between the stair railings, we moved the toddler bed to the pond room to avoid having the three year old take a wrong turn in the middle of the night.

We're always glad to hear when our guests and especially their children have had a good time. When my children were growing up they and their cousins spent many wonderful hours in that house and in the surrounding countryside.

PERFECT weekend getaway with family
What a cute property and house! We attended a weekend wedding in the Berkshires and this little gem was THE perfect spot for our family. We were a few miles from the wedding venue, my teenage girls enjoyed the movie selection in the house and the freedom of exploring the town. SO quiet, VERY beautiful, and the house was/is a home-away-from-home. We happened to be there during the HOTTEST weekend of 2019 and there was everything there to help ease the heat - air conditioner, fans and a brook out back and a pond in the front. Such a sweet spot. Thank you for your hospitality and offering such a quaint spot for our weekend getaway.

Peaceful Retreat
We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay at Flight's End. It was just what we were looking for - a quiet place out in the country far from the 4th of July fireworks that our neighbors set off all around us. Our kids LOVED playing in the babbling brook, building rock dams and rock towers, and going out on the pond in the canoe. We saw birds and ducks out on the pond each day and at night we saw fireflies in the backyard. You can hear the brook from the house, and that sound of rushing water is so peaceful. The owners were very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to our questions. And they were so kind to leave a bottle of the local hard cider in the fridge for us to find upon our arrival! We enjoyed outings to Magic Wings in South Deerfield and a day in Shelburne Falls. Overall, this is a great place for families or really anyone who just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and find some peace and quiet.
