City Hall was a very nice B&B during our 2 nights in Catania. Damiano provided us with sumptuous breakfasts with meat, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit and magnificent pastries. He also helped smooth over a reservation error I had made and printed out some reservations that we needed for the next step in our journey. We are grateful for his help. The property is in a nice part of Catania, with wider streets than some of the older parts of town. It is across the street from a large urban park. There is a grocery store in the same block, and you will get a good tour of Catania coming and going from the town square. Our room was large and well[-appointed. CNN would have been nice on the television The room rate was reasonable.

Very cold night 7 Celsius. Could no not sleep even either extra blankets. Damiano not available after 3 pm. INCORRECT PHONE NUMBER GIVEN. Simply froze that night

The hotel was clean and comfortable.Situated in a safe,quiet area but within walking distance of the town centre. Friendly, helpful staff in reception/dining area .

Room is different than you can see on the picture, very uncomfortable lay-out, dirty and smelly corridor. The host was nice and helpful though.

Placement Idéal - besoin d'une remise à niveau
Hôtel idéalement placé proche du centre ville et en face du jardin Bellini. Chambre trés agréable, grande salle de bain. Equipements vétustes (meubles sanitaires), la pomme de douche est restée dans les mains de mon fils, il y a des tâches sur la moquette et surtout ne regardez pas sous le lit ce n'est pas nettoyé.

Wäre noch besser, wenn Zimmer sauber wären.
Gute Lage, ruhig, freundliches Personal. Minuspunkt ist einzig die Sauberkeit im Zimmer, besonders im Bad. Geruch aus den Abflüssen, der nur durch die Klimaanlage gemildert wurde. Dusche schien nicht geputzt zu werden, alte Haare von Vorgängern vorhanden.

The receptionist is a young and energetic man. He always smiles and is helpful. The hotel is on a second floor. There is nothing above or below. It’s a nice building. The rooms are beautiful. The breakfast is good.

Good value for money
City Hall is well located near many restaurants and with a park across the road..While there was no one on reception, very clear instructions were sent. The rooms are clean and comfortable and good value for money. I would recommend staying here.

Bo centralt og bekvemt i Catania 😊
City Hall er et ganske fint B&B. Min søn og jeg havde et virkeligt godt ophold der. Udemærket morgenmad og kaffe. Den unge mand i receptionen er virkelig sød og venlig. Han taler dog kun italiensk, hvilket vi ikke gør. Men med fagter og Google translate gik det ganske fint. Der er kode til døren (fra gaden) og det ville have været rart at kende den ved ankomst. Af den simple grund, at jeg ikke ville have forstået koden på italiensk. Men jeg var heldig, at der stod et par andre gæster udenfor, som låste mig ind.

This location was absolutely perfect across the street from the most beautiful park and just a few minutes walk to the main Square The staff are excellent Damiano was a fantastic host always ready to help out The only negative thing about our stay where the flat pillows everything else is clean and great and highly recommend

This could be so much better
Nice central location next to a park, rooms are in principle very attractive and clean although in need of maintenance. Service seemed grumpy: it was impossible to contact the hotel through email, phone, website and hotels.com to request early check-in. Turning up at the advertisers time of 4pm there still want anyone to let me in although someone did turn up rather reluctantly within 7 minutes of calling the posted number. Service was monosyllabic and grumpy. Breakfast only from 8am. There was an extensive paint spillage on the carpet in the corridor. Double glazed windows work well to insulate sound from a noisy road, but it was a choice between opening a window (instant traffic roar and mosquitoes) or hot and stuffy room (air con not working). Wobbly and grungy shower head, bedside lamp fixture dangling from the wall.

Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte e non possiamo che confermare l'ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo. Abbiamo apprezzato in particolar modo la posizione e la gentilezza dello staff. Buona anche la colazione. Sicuramente consigliato.

+ La cortesia dei gestori anche nel darci informazioni su Catania e i luoghi da vedere.Veramente accoglienti e gentili. Molto attenti alle nostre richieste per la colazione, hanno procurato anche quello che non era disponibile. Colazione varia che accontenta un po' tutti. Ci hanno anche sorpreso assegnandoci una stanza più spaziosa rispetto a quella che avremmo dovuto occupare, essendoci disponibilità. Camera adeguata ad un soggiorno breve in città, comoda con mezzi pubblici, per locali e per visitare il centro. Bello il parco davanti alla finestra. Strada tranquilla. Pulizie quotidiane e servizi puliti. - l'intera struttura andrebbe rinnovata, la moquette in particolare andrebbe rimossa perchè in pessime condizioni, anche se viene aspirata ogni giorno. Così come i tendaggi pesanti.

Had a fantastically relaxing stay. The rooms are comfortable, air conditioning and metal shutter made for one of the best nights sleeps I’ve had in ages. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the breakfast is more than adequate, excellent coffee (of course) fresh fruit yogurt and cereals. Missed the pastries - all for the best really. Will visit again.

The staff were helpful the area well lit and a good breakfast and comfortable bed.I would stay again if in Catania.I had issues with recharging my phone but the staff resolved it by providing an extension cable. Good bus service but easily walked to main attractions.

Vi ringrazio, è vero, sono stati i giorni più caldi del periodo, 40 gradi circa e i boiler dell'acqua si sono surriscaldati. Abbiamo provveduto ad isolarli prime della prossima ondata di caldo eccezionale

Mosquitoes. Staff not around, they don't speak much English, but when you find them, they are trying to be very helpful. Room too hot, but luckily AC works fine if you turn it on.

There was an extraordinary and early heat wave in Italy. but we have air conditioners that, if activated, also keep mosquitoes away (we are close to a park) The reception hours of the BeB are from 7 to 13 and from 16 to 20
