«We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The site is beautiful and provides many sustainable options for activities and cooking (e.g., hiking trail, parks, wood-fire pizza oven on site). We also traveled with our dogs and will add that the site and the glamping cabin is very dog-friendly, offering an off-leash area for the dogs to run around and a washing station. The staff were also very responsive to questions via text. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.»

We bought a bottle of lovely white wine and a couple of beers from the nice selection in the lobby. «Loved Outpost Inn; highly recommend and can't imagine staying anywhere else in town -- incredible vibe, great coffee shop and wine bar, lots of cute spots to sit inside and outside. It felt like the place in town when all the younger, cooler (young meaning, 50 and under, ha) hang out. I loved my room, which was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the free drip coffee in the mornings. And wow, the weather in Highlands can't be beat in the summer.»

«Staff was excellent. We really enjoyed the boat tour of the lake. Rooms were large and comfortable. A great night's sleep. We really enjoyed sitting on the screen porch and watching the boats come and go. The decor is a bit dated. I believe they said the lakeside rooms were due to be updated in the next year. Restaurant was just so-so. We'd recc. going out to Grand Olde Station for a meal. Overall, a great stay. We plan to go back in the future.»

«The room was new and clean but the mattress was foam and slept like a hammock. Killed my lower back. The room was relatively small and the layout of the counterspace was uncomfortable. When we checked in, the attendant was nice but not helpful at all. She was there to point me to click on a website to check in and that was it. I will not go back to Wells MOTEL. It's not a hotel, it's a renovated motel.»
