There should be more local food options and take advantage of the great resources in the community around the property instead of offering very basic foreign menu.

I came to this Island to unwind in Balay Kogon but as soon as I arrived I became frustrated and dissappointed as to how they treat their costumer. They lack communication and follow through, they misled the guest (moving to another property). They need to improve their costumer service, they need to be proactive, the cleanliness is appaling, not much activity in the Island to do with, the restaurant doen’t have much choices. I expected more in this property Island but I didn’t get what is there to offer in their website. I am So dissppointed especially the costumer service and their lack of communication before and during in the Island. There is a terrible in the toilet, same is through in their commin toilet. They need to address this issues for the guest to be able to enjoy their stay. They also need to know what to they mean about the word complimentary as I dont think they understand fully. I met the property manager and we discussed a lot of things but not the issues I had with the property. And they have to removed the Balay Kogon in all the booking websites as they used this as a trap for you to booked then it is not available. Shame we didn’t get what we booked for but definitely I will not come back at all. They need to improve in all aspect to be able to be competitive enough. I have never experience such a terrible service in a private island property until this moment. You have potentials develop the people who work in the property.

Balay Kogon is beautiful because the properties are detached and its charming because of its cogon roofs. The gardens are lush and well taken cared off. The staffs are very helpful and courteous.

Location is amazing and resort is perfect getaway and be with nature. Staff is wonderful, patient, funny and brings that local Sicogon hospitality that is unmatched. The rooms are wonderful, clean, peaceful and has everything you need. We stayed here for a week when others only 2-3 days and was worth every day of the stay for peace and quiet. Isolation is not for everyone as some might not be cool with eating only in one place, no wifi, and just the ocean and mountain as your playground. But for those that really want to get away from it all, this is it!

Not crowded! Amazing stay
Amazing stay. Place was not overcrowded. Staff was friendly. Has a relaxing stay. Maybe more variety of food for be better. Will recommend to friends.

The view was spectacular! This is the place to get away from city life and just relax. Island hopping is available and at your own pace: you can stay longer or shorter at any stop. Did I say views were spectacular?

It is definitely a REPEAT PLACE for us looking forward to comeback again soon. Just a suggestion: The nearby fisherman folks is a community worth tapoing. They can provide the freshiest catch. We were able to buy crabs and fish there but was charged corkage fee. I know that this is a hotel guidelines but this should apply to guest not buying their food in the hotel. We ordered our food in the hotel 3 main courses with desserts and drinks but still ended up paying extra for seafoods not even available in the hitel tht day. They should replace the noozles of their toiletries. I ended up fixing them each time I use them. The heater is not working well. Imagine taking a shower wth water so cold and abruotly changed into HOT water and nack again to COLD all within 2 mins in the shower! That was quite an experiece. What’s commendable are the very helpful staff particularly the security guards, Mae who helped us wth ICE when my daughter had a sprain late at night. Kim our waiter was oarticularly attentive to us as well. Pizza and burgers will be a great addition to ur menu.
