"Married couple traveling in Sicily for nature and culture. President Park Hotel was an ideal base: good amenities, well placed for day trips, quiet and off the main tourist streets.
Location: Secluded hilltop with beautiful views and no pass-through traffic. The garden pool was perfect for recovering after trips in villages and Mt Etna. Some criticize the placement; for us it was the perfect choice.
Getting around: Sidewalks are missing or very narrow, and drivers rarely yield—roadside walking is unsafe. Plan on using hotel shuttle, taxi/Uber, rental car, or bike.
Nearby: a small grocery and Odyssey restaurant (highly recommended; great food & service from Eduardo).
Rooms: Upgraded us to pool view—spacious, good storage, balcony, nice bathroom. Mattress comfortably soft for Italy. Spotless daily room upkeep. Quiet, effective AC.
Breakfast: Good quality and variety (eggs, sausage, cheese)—better than typical Italian hotels, though not a Northern European spread.
Service: Friendly and helpful throughout. Limited English was fine; someone was always available when needed. The director even once drove us to a village; Fabiana arranged next-day Mt Etna pickup within hours, even late evening. Excellent service!
Minor notes: Rooftop terrace/pool bar closed; lobby bar often unmanned. Our room adjacent to restaurant had occasional early-morning noise
