I really don’t like leaving a negative review on a property, but as someone who reads reviews prior to booking, I feel this review is necessary. Several issues may be worth noting, but the largest, is that we booked a property that advertises an “electric heated salt water pool.” Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told the pool was recently resurfaced and they would be unable to attach the heater until day 5 of our 10 day stay. To make matters worse, the pool went from crystal clear to patchy brown muck in the pool. Upon trying to contact the property manager, we waited over 48 hours for a response. We then contacted the owner, and suggested she refund part of the rental, as we only booked because of a “heated” pool. The response was inconsistent excuses and comments like, “pool heater is not regularly on, as the electric fees are too high.” We tried to explain this is one reason we rented the house, but it didn’t matter at all to owner. Several days after we checked out we received a nasty message about the condition we left the house in, and complaints that we used “all” towels and linens in the house. I’m so glad I took pictures as we left and sent them to her. The house was well in order when we left and I had the photo’s to prove it. All in all, we felt that we were taken advantage of, and misled. So now, you do what you want with this review.
