The Space
Settle into the relaxed pace of Cape Charles from your own bright, comfortable second-floor retreat in the Historic District. This bright second-floor retreat puts you close to the best parts of town while giving you a comfortable place to relax between adventures.

Start the morning with coffee on your private screened porch, wander into town for breakfast or shopping, spend the afternoon by the Chesapeake Bay, and return home to unwind before heading back out for dinner. Central Park, local shops and restaurants, and the public beach are all within walking distance.

Inside, you’ll find:

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout gives couples, friends, and families plenty of space to settle in comfortably while enjoying the convenience of a full kitchen and inviting living area.

After a day exploring Cape Charles, relax in the living room or settle onto the screened porch. The full kitchen makes it easy to enjoy meals at home, and a Keurig with a starter selection of K-Cups helps make mornings a little easier.

Families are welcome. A high chair and toddler plates, cups, and utensils are provided, and a portable baby monitor is available upon request. Because we have one baby monitor shared between the two units, please request it in advance so we can confirm availability. While the home is not fully childproofed, these thoughtful extras can make traveling with little ones a little easier.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire upstairs unit via a separate exterior staircase and self check-in with keypad.

Please note that Unit B is located on the second floor and requires use of the exterior staircase to enter the unit.

Other things to note
The Little Retreat is conveniently located in Cape Charles' Historic District, just two blocks from Central Park and approximately six blocks from the public beach. Shops and local restaurants are also within walking distance. Many guests enjoy exploring town on foot, while a golf cart is a fun and convenient way to get around, especially when bringing gear to the beach. Golf carts are available to rent locally and are popular during peak season, so we recommend reserving one early if you'd like to have one during your stay. An outdoor extension cord is available for convenient golf cart charging at the property, subject to availability. If used, please return the cord to its designated location when finished and be sure it is not returned with your rental golf cart.

Unit B is the upstairs accommodation of a two-story duplex. As with many older homes, sound may travel between floors. Each unit has its own private entrance and living space, and we ask guests to be mindful that guests may be staying directly below in Unit A. Please keep voices, TV, and other activity at a considerate level, particularly during quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

A few additional things to know:
• No pets, please.
• The backyard patio is shared with guests staying in Unit A.
• A starter supply of household essentials is provided for your arrival.
• Families are welcome. The home is not fully childproofed, and children should be supervised at all times.
• Smart water leak sensors are located beneath the kitchen and bathroom sinks, along with temperature monitoring devices. These systems help us identify unexpected maintenance issues and do not record audio or video.

HOUSE RULES

• Maximum occupancy is 4 registered guests. No parties, events, or large gatherings.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests and our neighbors.
• No smoking or vaping inside the home or screened porch.
• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• Please treat the home, furnishings, and amenities with care. Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear.
