I dove with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, which left from their office in Uvita. The dive equipment was in great shape and they had multiple dive masters with us. The Cano Island dive it a sandy bottom, easy, 60 foot dive, with light to medium currents. I didn't see a ton of great stuff, but this school of fish was worth it in itself.

The trip includes two dives, an island trip, snacks, lunch, all your equipment rentals, etc. $175 per person for the day. Expensive, but supposed to be one of the best dive sites in CR, so worth it if you're in the area.

«The property is a casita (mother-in-law apartment) within the gated property of the host. They have an additional rental. I liked that we were living like the locals do. The Casita is simple with a fantastic balcony. The hosts were wonderful although only the husband speaks English so communication once there was challenging.
