Didn't realize when I booked the cabin, but there is no tv, radio, or wifi in the cabins (you have to go to the main house for those things). My 18 and 24 year old daughters noticed immediately. I was worried about this at first, but it turned out to be a great thing. The first night we stayed up to midnight talking and laughing. As the days progressed we were so tired from hiking, sight seeing, and horseback riding that we were asleep earlier each night.
The cabin was quite rustic, but clean and comfortable. All of the staff from the moment we checked in, to the cleaning staff, the servers in the dining room, and the horseback riding guide were very friendly and helpful.
Only three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We loved driving around the area. Being October, everyday was more beautiful than the one before. The towns of Candler and Asheville were not too far to drive for shopping or meals when away from the Ranch.
Meals were delicious. You had to give notice of what meals you were going to be there for, but they were very flexible if you wanted to change things. We typically shared a table with another family or two. Every evening at 7 pm there is some sort of entertainment. Things like stargazing and looking at planets through a telescope, dog tricks, square dancing, grown-up story telling, etc.
Pisgah View Ranch has dog friendly cabins available.
I have already recommended Pisgah View Ranch to friends and will definitely be staying there again!
