Mountain getaway minutes from Asheville, Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway!

Although Asheville and surrounding areas have faced a natural disaster, we are coming out stronger. This rental did not experience any flood damage and operates on a well, so the water is safe.
Through the front door you will find an open living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room has a full size couch and love seat for you to get comfortable on while watching the large tv mounted on the wall. The open dining room fits six at the table either for a conversation and dinner or a fun card game. The kitchen has a large island and is fully stocked with anything that you may need. The master bedroom is to the right and has a king size bed, dresser and a large closet. The master bath is HUGE! Includes a glass shower, two sinks and a couple shelves. The toilet has its own semiprivate area. To the left of the living room are the other two rooms and another full bath. Each of the other bedrooms have queen size beds, dressers and closets. The bathroom has two sinks and a tub to soak as well as a shower. There is also a small laundry room and the back door across the hall. The laundry room has an older washer and dryer that still work perfectly. Out the back door is a small wooded area where deer love to hang out so be on the lookout. There is a gravel driveway with plenty of parking!

Great location, house needs work

The hosts were very attentive and kind. However, we noticed a few issues with the house. There are scuffs and chipped paint all over the walls. The mattresses in both of the smaller bedrooms need replacing. The rugs in the living room were filthy. In the master bathroom, the water pressure was low, the toilet seat was loose, and there were no curtains for privacy. Finally, there were no lights on the porch. It was difficult to see at night. There was also a big hole in the driveway that could easily be filled in with gravel. In addition to remedying these issues, I would recommend providing either a toaster or toaster oven. All said, the location was great as we could get to and from Asheville and the BRP with relative ease.

Family friendly

Pictures and descriptions were accurate. House did have some minor damage, but from a rental perspective nothing significant. Location is fairly remote but in a good neighborhood. Many deer come through throughout the day and enjoy the surrounding apple trees.

Almost home

Very welcoming. Had just about everything we needed. Love the morning and evening visits from the wildlife and fireflies. Some of the beds are not comfortable but everything else was great. Our host stayed on top of things responded quickly to any questions we had. A+ for that. Thank you

The property was a described and nicely updated. There was an issue, I let Jessica know of a small issue and I believe it will be fine going forward as she was very responsive. One bathroom doesn't have curtains and I guess I am not used to this because I live with houses closer to me. The bedrooms are good sized. Driving the last block had potholes, but we managed! Well-stocked kitchen with a little coffee and filters to get us started, a small treat basket and tourist books. Large island and kitchen table. The games are good. Thank you!

Peaceful and pleasant stay!

Our family really enjoyed this place! Easy check-in and check-out; had everything we really needed. We had read some reviews about pot holes in the road leading to the house and were a little hesitant but they were not nearly as bad as expected. We had no issue with the road or driveway. The home was clean and spacious- plenty of space for our family staying together. The place was also very peaceful, and it was sweet to see deer in the evenings some nights.

Thanksgiving Weekend

My family and I travel every year for thanksgiving as our family tradition. The mountain getaway was absolutely perfect. Amazing home, extremely clean, very spacious and it was very close to everything! We saw several deer every morning as well!

Cousins Trip

We came to Asheville to do some hiking and fishing. This house was perfect for our long weekend stay. The house is very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Enjoyed seeing our deer friends in the yard each day. The road is a little rough closer to the house, but if you maneuver properly any car should be able to make it through. Would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful outdoor getaway

We were attending a wedding in Candler (The Farm - amazing venue!) and so glad we found this place to relax and rest during our stay. It's a little out of the way, but worth it. The driveway/road can be tricky for cars with low clearance but if you stay all the way to the right entering and left exiting it's not a problem. Loved the location and the beautiful drive to this property.

Great Time In Candler/Asheville NC

We really enjoyed our stay in Candler. Property Host Jessica was quick to respond to any questions we had about our stay. The property was clean and yes, we saw Deer, even a couple fawns, in the backyard, every day of our stay. Ingles Supermarket was very close by. Also, if you like Craft Beer, Wicked Weed Brewery and Tap Room was less than three miles from the property. Popular destinations in Asheville were also only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend this property if you're visiting the Asheville area.

Pot hole house

To get to the manufactured home you had to drive through streets that had pot holes running from one side of the street to the other. You definitely end a vehicle with high suspension. Kitchen was poorly stocked, only 4 glasses that weren’t plastic. No toaster. There is no cable tv. The screen door is broken so it bangs all the time. Water was periodically turned off with no warning. We left 4 days before our booking was up.

Perfect location

My family and I absolutely loved staying here. Plenty of space for our family of 5 with plenty of amenities to use during our stay. Only a 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville! We hope to stay here again in the future.

House Trailer was nuce

The house was bright and clean. A few mishaps that were “work-around able” and Jessica was very understanding. Easy to communicate with her. The only complaint is the short road leading to the location is full of potholes so my car took a beating. The road needs some major repairs. I would recommend this place though.
