Shower head needs replacing. Water sprayed everywhere. Water stopped mid shower for approx 10 seconds. Only 3 pillows provided for a king size bed. Bed linen stiff.

Housekeeping was poor. No soap in bathroom. No exhaust fan in bathroom but a sign threatening a $500 fine if steam goes outside, did not change any clean glasses.. housekeeping did not pick up one piece of rubbish left on the floor staff very friendly at reception, but housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Old facilities, will not stay there again.

I was travelling through on holiday with a vehicle with a kayak and a height limitation, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable about my issues and ensured we would have a solution. This is also a great location and facility, i will happily be back. Thank you

Not recommended
I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room and the hotel. The carpet was filthy and the room looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. When I complained, they moved me to another room, but it was not much better. The carpet was still dirty and the bathtub had peeling paint. I do not recommend this hotel and I will never stay here again.

Rooms in good condition and comfortable
The room was quite large and comfortable however I found it to be a little dated. The TV wasn't smart and I wasn't able to connect my devices. The decor was dated as well but in good condition and comfortable.

I wouldn’t stay at Novotel Canberra again… the check in process was long and annoying as we couldn’t park our car at the hotel. The staff need to be retained. We got charged for items that they didn’t have on their room service menu. The reception and room service teams were hard to get a hold of. There was no late night menu and the room was awkward with the bathroom sink in the middle of the room and not part if the bathroom. Would have been nice to have a bath however there was only a shower. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable and only had 2 soft pillows… I had to request more pillows three times before we got more. I won’t be going back to the Novotel Canberra anytime soon.

Our stay at the Novotel Canberra was disappointing. We booked a room with a fold out sofa bed for our daughter - the sofa bed mattress was old and saggy and the bed was not made up when we arrived. The morning of our check out, there was a homeless man sleeping on the day bed outside the elevators. He knocked on our door and when we opened the door he told us he had heard gunshots. This made us feel very unsafe. When we reported this to the hotel staff they did not make any offer to follow up or check in with us to ensure we knew they had taken action.
