Simple and so relaxing

Quiet and relaxing getaway
We had a very relaxing stay at Rory's place. The room was surprisingly spacious and the hosts had left us some unexpected treats which we appreciated. We brought along our dog and he was able to interact with the hosts' 2 pugs who were very friendly and playful. The place is a very short work to the beach and a quick drive to the shops which made it very convenient.

Basic but comfortable accommodation
If you are seeking budget, no frills accommodation, then this will suit. The sliding door leads to the laundry which contains the shower and toilet,washing machine and laundry sink. The bed was comfortable,bread,milk cereal etc was supplied. There was ample books and DVDs for the rainy days. A small fold up table would have been handy for the times where it was too rainy to eat on the outside table and chairs

The place has easy access to the beach good for quiet getaway but it can feel a bit damp in the place maybe because during our stay been raining a lot. But the owner is nice and kind.

Down memory lane
We wanted to visit the place I lived in 50 years ago and it was the perfect spot to reconnect with old friends. The beach and strolls on it was wonderful. Host was very helpful and friendly

One of the nicest properties we have stayed in. Yes it is a converted garage, and we loved the simplicity of the facility. 10/10 to Rory for providing breakfast for our stay ... not the usual minimum fare, but an entire loaf of fresh bread, fresh butter, fruit bowl, large bottle of milk, spreads and a fresh box of cereal. Most places we have stayed provide just the bare minimum, and this was a refreshing change ... KUDOS! . The bed and pillows were super comfortable ... probably the best we have had. . Constructive thoughts ... a small folding table and 2 folding chairs would round this self-contained room out to perfection! . Thanks for an awesome New Years stay Rory

Certainly wouldn't recommend... Felt very unclean and was just a converted garage that seemed to have all the left over, unwanted furniture just chucked in there. A broken rocking chair. The world's loudest fridge. And just random junk stored up above the fake ceiling. Overall just didn't have a nice feel and we sacrificed a night away to not have to sleep in there twice.

Disappointing
The blind on the sliding door was stuck closed. The light in the loft was on over night and we couldn't sleep. No table to eat off. Nothing to sit on other than the bed.

Hi Jan, Thanks for your feedback.. The lights were all off when you entered the property so the loft light must have been switched on by yourself. As I was next door I would have gladly helped if required. The photos online are exactly as per the room set up. As mentioned in my profile there is lots of tables and chairs on the front and rear verandah. I noticed that you had a guest sleep on the floor, and used the clean linen. I assume this means you had an extra guest in the room then what you booked for. I had to throw that linen out after your stay. This is not a 5 star hotel room and is not advertised as such. You will note the positive feedback I have from pretty much every other guest who has stayed with me. It's a shame you were unable to have the same experience. Thank you for your feedback

Cosy quiet location. Close walk to bay. 5 min drive to shops. If you have a boat the bay boat ramp is only a few mins drive away. Great walking tracks as well.

Positiv : Reichhaltige Ausstattung im Kühlschrank,Milch, Marmelade,Butter,Bagel... Negativ: Das Bad ist definitiv kein Bad,sondern die mit Bad und Dusche erweiterte Waschkücke.Das Waschbecken ist im Grunde der Abfluss für das Abwasser,geht gar nicht,dafür ist der Preis völlig überzogen.Hätten wir nie gebucht,wenn dies ersichtlich gewesen wäre. Das Wifi Passwort sollte im Zimmer hinterlegt sein, so dass man nicht erst mit dem Besitzer Kontakt aufnehmen und auf die Antwort warten muss.Ebenso wären Umgebungspläne hilfreich und nicht nur eine völlig veraltete Karte an der Wand. Fazit: Das Zimmer macht den Eindruck eines ehemaligen Jugendzimmers,es fehlt darüberhinaus ein Ess-Tisch mit Stühlen,Platz ist vorhanden.Upgrade dringend notwendig.

Room for improving
It would have been a generally nice stay but… Almost Positive: lots of the books, games and lots DVDs, unfortunately tv did not work so we couldn’t watch anything. Had coffee facility but no mugs to have it in. Had to buy my own mug. Negative: needs a small table and chairs to have meals on. Appliances need a good clean. Did not heat my bubs bottle because the microwave was disgusting. Fridge wasn’t clean, ( coloured) sheets had silver stickers and glitters on and hair. Looks like they have been used. Rug full off animal hair, better do without. Furniture and windows had dust and cobwebs. Rooms had a general dusty smell. All it needs is a good clean and a more practical organisation of the room.

Every detail counts!
I was really comfortable staying at this property. Rory was great at communicating leading up to my stay and was flexible and relaxed with check in/times as I needed to be there earlier which was a great help. The room is small but perfect for 1/2people and covers all bases. The bedding was warm and comfortable for a stay in the middle of winter and I was stoked with the fact that coffee, tea and milk was provided and I didn’t have to run out in the morning before having my morning coffee! Shampoo and body wash was also in the bathroom for guests. It helps having all these little details already throught of. I will definitely stay at this property again! Thanks Rory.
