**The Space:**

As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a bright and spacious open-concept living area. The large windows flood the space with natural light, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home.

The living room features my grandmother's vintage ssectional and two additional couches, providing ample seating for everyone to gather and relax. A 75-inch TV with Chromecast and Google TV remote, DVD player, and a dresser filled with games and puzzles ensure there's never a dull moment.

**Sleeping Arrangements:**

With 4 bedrooms and 6 beds on the second floor, our home comfortably sleeps 10 guests. The master bedroom boasts a king bed with a wood crib set up in the walk-in closet, perfect for families traveling with little ones. Each bedroom is thoughtfully appointed with 500-count sheets, extra pillows, and blankets to ensure a restful night's sleep.

On the main floor there is an additional roll-a-way single bed as well as a pull out sleeper sofa in the office,

**Cooking & Dining:**

The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's dream, featuring a spacious island, instant pot, Vitamix blender, popcorn popper, and more. Whether you're whipping up a quick breakfast or preparing a gourmet dinner, you'll find everything you need right at your fingertips.

Gather around the dining table, which comfortably seats large families, or enjoy your meals al fresco on the deck overlooking the lake. A BBQ grill is also available for those who prefer to cook outdoors.

**Outdoor Amenities:**

Step outside to the backyard oasis, where you'll find a deck with ample seating, a fire pit with roasting sticks, and a 14' swim spa in the sunroom. Fresh garden herbs and vegetables are available in season. Sunshine Lake Playground is just 300m away offer additional recreational options for families with children.

We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you're traveling with a larger group. The view of the lake was beautiful and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and enjoy our meals. The hosts really thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. From the thoughtful details like labeling and organizing everything, to providing baby essentials like toys and a crib, they truly went above and beyond. It made all the difference in our experience

The Sunshine house was everything I anticipated. We had a full house for a birthday/family reunion. The hosts, Dan and Davina were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They provide many extras in the kitchen and bathroom, so you can pack lighter. The house has a beautiful lake view, a deck and bbq, a nice trail around the lake, and they have several bikes available. The swim spa was nice to relax in after a busy day. I highly recommend it.

This is our second time staying at this beautiful “sunshine home” in High River and it is just that A Ray Of Sunshine. The family is so friendly and the home is beautifully set up to make you feel welcomed and at home. They have thought of everything. A well stocked kitchen and tons of little special touches like homemade soap and more. With additional fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs to add to your meals it means less stops to the grocery store. A welcome binder that tells you all you need to know about the home as well as all the extra information you might need to explore the community and surrounding areas. Great for large groups and so accommodating. They even went above and beyond to borrow a walker for my elderly mother to be able to get around town with ease. I would definitely recommend this home and I look forward to returning again.

Home away from home

This is a very warm and welcoming property and the 10 of us felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door. It was great for our shared family meals and met the needs of our littles. They especially enjoyed the swim spa although we were surprised to see the host’s children using it while we were there.A few in our party commented that the beds might have been more comfortable but overall our stay was enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Nicely appointed house

We came to High River for a family reunion at the park. I stayed with my brothers and their spouses. The house was clean and had everything we needed to prepare our food and keep us happy. Only my husband used the swim spa but said it was comfortable (and deeper than it looked!) The family lives in the lower floor of the house so Devina was always happy to help us with any questions we had or necessary refills on things in the house. We really enjoyed our visit!

Prairie Dreams

There was a lot offered in this vacation home. Loved the space and view of the lake from the back deck. Host offered some extras like a quad bike which we peddled around the lake and were able to fit our 10 year old nephew into the front seat. This home is perfect for large family get togethers and were able to accommodate a dinner party for my sister, her husband and son using the large dining table. As we were taking in Stampede festivities the location wasn't optimal yet it was close enough to manage day trips into the city. My only issue, chalked up to personal preference, would be that the master bedroom was not on the main floor. As my wife and I are a bit older, trekking up and down the stairs was a little taxing for us; however, other members of are group didn't have the same concerns. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations and were pleased with the excursions as a whole.

Home away from home

They really have thought of it all. They have done a wonderful job, making sure that they have things there for people of all ages. Including a list of everything to tour in the town with pamphlets to be used to organize your activities right from home. Even so much is offering a vehicle pass to go into the mountain parks. Well stocked with towels, linens, even additional toiletries if you’ve forgotten yours at home. Great outdoor activities to keep the children busy and a swim spa that nobody ever wants to leave. We enjoyed a trip around the duck pond with a wonderful unique for a person bicycle. And the views were just beautiful. A wonderful safe, quiet community, and great hosts that were always there if you needed help with anything. Would definitely stay there again. Enough to keep you busy for the week just enjoying the sites of the town. You don’t even have to travel far.

Beautiful and fun house!

The house was beautiful and the swim spa (pool/hot tub combo) was so much fun for the kids! They had a lot of kitchen appliances so it made it easy to cook from home and not have to go out to eat all the time! The rooms were really great sizes and everything was very clean and organized. The owners were very responsive and fixed things that broke or issues that we have a resolved very quickly! The owners were super nice and accommodating and even let us take as much time as we needed to leave because the cleaners don’t clean on Sundays so we had all day if we wanted to clean up and get out of the house. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is because we were told that there were people staying in the bottom level of the house, but we were not aware that it was actually the owners. There were a couple times where we would come home in the afternoon and the kids would want to go in the pool, but the owners or their kids were in the pool and so we weren’t able to use it whenever we wanted. I think if we were to come back next time, I would just clarify whether or not they would be in the downstairs and check to see if they are, if they would be using the pool while we were there. All in all though, it was a really great place to stay and if we come back to Canada again, this would definitely be the place that we would want to stay again, as long as we would have full access to the pool.

What a time!

Davina and her family have created such an amazing little oasis for families like ours to gather. It felt like they did their best to provide the perfect canvas for us to create beautiful memories together. The home is clean and in great condition, and the location by the lake makes it all the more special - we enjoyed many walks together. We were so grateful for the ways they accommodated us and made us feel at home. Would love to come again!

Convenient location and very clean.

Convenient location and very clean. We came in town to attend a long time friend’s wedding. There are almost no houses to rent in the area so we chose this house and we’re happy with our decision. We all had our own space the bathrooms were very clean. The house is located right on a walking or bike path and has a back porch that was perfect for looking out over the pond. The host was very speedy to answer questions. They do live downstairs and I was a little apprehensive that that would be strange, but totally was not. It felt very similar to when we have stayed in a resort condo and had neighbors.

Almost 5 star

Nice roomy house overlooking a pond with a good walking path around it. Owners were very nice! Only drawback was we found out, the night before renting when we were given house rules, that a family was living in basement suite below us. We would suggest adding some time of noise barrier as the daily life of children, tv, and vacuuming etc permeated up to our floor. We had a noise curfew at 11pm.
