I was travelling with twin infants and required baby cribs for our stay. I called the hotel to ensure that they had cribs available before booking on Expedia and they told me they did. We called 24 hours prior to arrival and requested 2 cribs, the staff member advised us that they only have 2 and advised that they were not bookable, but on a first come first serve basis. I asked her what it would take to ensure that these could be secured as we were arriving with two small infants, after speaking to her manager, she assured me that they would be available upon our arrival. When we arrived, they had no notes about our discussion and there was only one crib available. The policy for booking cribs needs to be amended, forcing customers to have their infant sleep on the floor of a hotel is completely unacceptable. Had we known this was going to happen we would have stayed at a different hotel.
I expected a certain level of service by staying with a Holiday Inn a major hotel brand like IHG. I would also expect a hotel of this size to have more than two cribs available. The employees at the front desk did not show any compassion for this situation.
In addition to the poor sleeping conditions, the sink in our bathroom did not drain and the toilet ran constantly. We had two rooms at this hotel and both had poor draining sinks. The pool water was quite cloudy, and could use more attention.
I stay in hotels 12-16 nights a month with work and I would not recommend this hotel.
