Welcome to Casa Blanca de Playa Negra.

This newly renovated home has it all:
-Direct access via a 50m jungle path to the gorgeous black sand beaches of Playa Negra.
-A view of the beach
-A saltwater swimming pool.
-A tropical garden with banana trees, scaling palms, and jungle vines abound.
-Perfect for one or two families, up to three couples, or small wellness retreats.

All this and you are a 15m walk or 5m bike ride to the vibrant town of Puerto Viejo with its amazing restaurants and shops. If Puerto Viejo seems just a little too far, it’s a quick walk to the local corner market or to the popular Banana Azul resort with its delicious restaurant, tour desk and beach club.

There are large, open and vaulted ceilings that allow you to enjoy the indoor/outdoor dining and living areas surrounded by stunning views and the crashing sounds of the waves.

This property comfortably sleeps 8 with two bedrooms and two baths on the second floor and an expansive studio and full bath on the first floor with its own poolside deck and kitchenette. Each of the three bedrooms have the option of AC if required, but the ocean breeze coupled with the large ceiling fans is usually more than enough.

Spend your day lounging in a hammock, frolicking in the surf or pool, and enjoying meals either at home or at one of the many amazing restaurants in Puerto Viejo. If you are up for an adventure, Puerto Viejo is rich with activities including zip-lining, chocolate tours, horseback riding, river rafting, surfing, hikes to waterfalls, spa treatments, salsa lessons and a variety of cultural activities that allow you to learn more about the Caribbean and Indigenous cultures.

All guests will love keeping an eye out for iguanas, exotic birds, traditional Costa Rican frogs and if you are lucky a sloth or two.

With its modern tropical design, Casa Blanca affords guests the opportunity to enjoy open air living with the comforts of a modern tropical home.

First of all, the host was very welcoming and responsive when contacted. What can be improved upon is the quality of the mattresses which were very hard and uncomfortable for most of the guest. Also, the condition and amount of bath towels were inadequate. Lastly, it would have been nice to have had a cleaning service at least half way through our stay come and clean the house, empty trash, provide additional toilet paper and towels, and leave additional bathroom's trash bags. Needless to say, the house is situated on a beautiful piece of property however some minor details would have garnered a much higher rating.Pura Vida!

Outstanding in every way

We are a family of 7 and this house was comfortable, clean, perfect location by playa negra. The air conditioning works great and the hosting company, Rise, was very attentive.

Was not happy with condition of property at check in. Many issues that left a bad impression for my entire family. The ceiling fan in the main living area did not work at all. Attempt to repair by their maintenance staff failed. Mold covered the window blinds in both bedroom upstairs. We had to ask the staff to remove them from the unit. Being a health professional, mold spores can cause major health issues. The final straw was the drain pipe burst underneath the kitchen sink and red ants covered the kitchen countertop due to the humidity. I asked for a refund and was told they would not grant a refund because we chose to find another unit. Why would anyone want to stay and wait for repairs when the management team failed to perform to a reasonable property check prior to check in.

Excellent option

This place is a gem. Close to everything but not smack in the middle of it all either. So perfectly quiet when you want peace and only 15m walk to restaurants and shops galore!Literally a beautiful, soft sand beach right in your backyard. Amazing fun for the whole family.Plenty of room for everyone and the house is two floors. The bottom floor is even semi-private , almost like a second apartment, perfect for the parents or older children who want a bit of alone time.Kitchen VERY well stocked. Nice breezes that don't necessarily require AC, but AC is in every room, perfect for bedtime.Without any doubt, we'd rerent this house in a heartbeat. Is it worth the cost? If we're many people, I think it is....

Amazing beach front property

We came for 1 month. The property was amazing. We had sloths, iguanas, tropical birds ect all in the yard. The property is very private and quiet. The house has an amazing open air feel. The beach is literally steps from the pool deck. Our property manager Fabi was super attentive to any needs we had. He also doubles a a awesome tour guide for the local attractions. You will not be disappointed in this property.

Wonderful house and location

Great location! We were able to rent bikes in Puerto Viejo and get everywhere from the house. The property management group was quick to respond and recommended an AMAZING chef, Iian to come in and cook for us. He was wonderful and even brought us homemade bagels the next morning. The experience was amazing. Definitely recommend both the house, management company and the chef. His contact is Big Mans Food services- ‪+506 6429 8750‬

Amazing place, ideal location!

The house and property was amazing. The location was great, we could easily walk to town along the beach and enjoy the waves right in front of the property. We saw so many different animals in the yard, our 9 year olds loved to watch the wildlife. We will definitely be back!

Would definitely return!

Everything about our stay was wonderful!! The location of the property was walkable to town and right on the beach so we could enjoy the ocean everyday. The home was beautiful and clean. The property management team was responsive and friendly. They had amazing food recommendations and helped with anything we needed :)
