Buenhytte med utsikt over Setesdalen

Built in 1982, this Buenhytta cabin is situated on a secluded, one-mål lot in the Nordli cabin community, with views across the entire Setesdalen valley. The natural terrain surrounding the cabin ensures plenty of distance from neighbors, and a large terrace makes it easy to enjoy the outdoor space.



Inside, there are older pine floors and stained paneling on the walls, and the traditional carvings on the facade are typical of Buenhytter cabins in the area. The cabin is decorated with nostalgic photos and tapestries. The kitchen is newly renovated and well-equipped; the bathroom has a toilet and shower; and the fireplace, installed in 2021, provides efficient warmth on cold days. There are three bedrooms with comfortable beds.



Groomed ski trails from Hovden run all the way down to the Nordli cabin village, and the trails start practically right outside the cabin. The trail from Nordli goes around Geiskelid, over the mountain, and down to Markens and downtown Hovden—a hike we highly recommend.



The Hovden ski resort has many runs, a ski lift, and its own children’s play area with a free lift and sledding hill. Hovden Water Park and Spa features water slides, a spa area, an outdoor water slide, and a sauna. In the summer, you can take the chairlift up to Mount Nos, and the Hegni outdoor recreation area—with a beach, playground, and snack bar—is just five minutes from the cabin village.
