"Great hotel in a very good, safe and central area. Being in the most central of all locations in Istanbul, it's also the center of getting ripped off (over-priced restaurants and shops are everywhere, but if you look a bit closer, it's not difficult to find the same quality at half the price). I paid $5 for a pint of beer in a very nice bar across the street. And then I paid $13 for a small bottle of beer in a much less nice bar about a block away. The differences are similar for food"
