"I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience.
What I liked:
* Excellent location near Taipei Main Station. If arriving by Airport Express, Exit Z10 is the closest, while Exit Z4 is convenient and you will get out in Mitsukoshi store.
* Plenty of restaurants nearby, and many foods usually found in night markets are also available in the surrounding area.
* Walking distance to Ximending.
* The reception and kitchen staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. Someone cater med when I checked in at 4am. Emailed them beforehand
* Good shower pressure.
* Free complimentary drinks daily, and the room was cleaned every day.
What could be improved:
* The room lighting was quite dim, making it difficult to apply makeup and creating a somewhat gloomy atmosphere.
* The bathroom could use more hooks or places to hang towels.
* The room temperature was too cold. As someone who lives in Norway, 22°C felt freezing after coming in from Taipei’s 30°C+ summer heat. I even bought a jacket just to stay comfortable in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is centrally controlled, so guests cannot adjust the temperature themselves.
* Breakfast had limited options. I paid for breakfast for five days but only ate there twice. There are many better and more affordable breakfast choices nearby.
Overall:
This is a good hotel for travellers who want to stay close to Taipei Main Station and be surrounded by restaurants, shops, and malls."
