The Space:
Riesling Cabin by Tiny Away is located in the rural area of Burnham, South Island, New Zealand, just 30 minutes from Christchurch, past Rolleston. Rolleston is famous for its thriving community, modern amenities, and convenient access to nearby recreational areas and attractions.

The Pedal Pusher at Rolleston is an excellent stop for a bite to eat. If you're up for a scenic drive, head to Christchurch to indulge in outdoor excitement at Christchurch Adventure Park and wander through the breathtaking Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Its strategic location offers breathtaking vistas of the vineyard and captivating sunsets, setting the scene for a serene evening as the night unfolds.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers)

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Riesling Cabin," available with 24 hours' notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.

Additionally, please advise that we are a working vineyard with grazing sheep in a supervised area, so occasional sheep droppings may be present at certain times of the year.

Guest Access:
NOTICE TO ALL GUESTS: This tiny home is semi-off-grid and operates on solar energy. We kindly request that guests conserve energy throughout the day and use it only when necessary to prevent potential power outages.

- Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and are welcome to roam the vineyard. If there are any vineyard activities, such as tractor operations or other machinery, we’ll be sure to let you know in advance.
- ⁠For guests arriving during our hours of operation, please come to the cellar door where you will be shown the location of the Tiny House. For guests arriving after hours, we will provide a map to follow and put up signs to guide you to the tiny home.

- ⁠Summer Hours are 9:00 am - 6.30 pm
- ⁠Winter Hours are 10:00 am - 5.00 pm ( May, June & July )

The Neighborhood:
Vintners Retreat by Tiny Away is located in the serene rural landscape of Burnham, just 30 minutes from the vibrant Christchurch. Surrounded by rows of lush vines, it offers a tranquil retreat, where the gentle rustle of leaves and the soothing scent of grapes infuse the air with a sense of rustic charm and tranquility.

Local spots worth checking out include Black & White Coffee Cartel, Maddison Eatery, The Flaming Rabbit, and Banks Peninsula. Visit The Warehouse Rolleston, Woolworths Rolleston, The Pedal Pusher, and Pizza Paradise in nearby Rolleston. Just 30 minutes away in Christchurch, you'll find Riccarton House and Bush, Christchurch Adventure Park, and Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Getting Around:
By car:

- From Christchurch we are 20 - 30 mins and similar for the Airport as well, 2WD is fine

By public transport:

- Their is a bus to Rolleston, Burnham & Lincoln and also Uber has quite a few drivers in the area and a couple of private shuttles.

Other Things to Note:
- Semi-off-grid unit/accommodation
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except outdoors
- We offer farm-fresh eggs for breakfast with prior notice from the host
- Vodafone, 2degrees, and Spark have good signals; the rest have no signal at all
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.
- A gentle reminder to exercise caution around the water race and pond, especially if they are with children.
- We have a designated area for waste management, where rubbish, recyclables, and any food scraps suitable for our hens can be disposed of separately.

Important note:

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Please note that "Restricted Areas" will be marked, along with the full details explained by host
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
