Reception service was disappointing, some of the receptionists were ok, but most were just unfriendly. I know this because I had to use reception at least 7 times, my key card was not working frequently and needed replacement at least 6 times in the course of 2 days. I did not hear an apology from the staff, neither they made any attempt to compensate the discomfort this caused me. The room was smelly when I first entered, with old furniture, and a kettle with instant coffee, which is not the standard of a 5 star hotel. On a positive note, sheets were clean and new, towels were good, as well. Breakfast was ok, food was good, fresh fruit plus basics. Coffee was instant and served in pots, so ordering espresso will cost extra. This was disappointing, again, not what one should expect at 5 star hotel. Location is good, pool was ok, spa nothing special. A therapist refused to wear a mask during a massage. Hotel guests wore masks randomly, stuff would not ask them to put on a mask while indoors. Overall, hotel stay was ok, but I would not stay there again. The hotel is marketed as high- end, but in reality, is far from a high-end standard.
