Pack up the whole family and make your way to your own private retreat here in Bumpass! This charming escapade is now under new ownership and has been recently upgraded to provide you with the best vacation spot. With tall ceilings, uninterrupted lake views, a volleyball court, and a fully equipped game room, there will be no lack of fun to be had on this trip. Spend long days on the water or simply relax with a favorite drink on the spacious deck in the summer sun. When everyone builds up an appetite, the chef of the group can head into the full kitchen and whip up a delicious meal as the colors of the sunset reflect off of the rippling water. When everyone is tuckered out, the sectional sofa is the perfect spot for a movie night in the living area. Board games and an Xbox gaming system are also available for some late-night competition. Additional perks include four single kayaks, one double kayak, one canoe with life jackets, and a game room with foosball, Ping-Pong, and a pool table.

Tucked away in the trees along the shore of Lake Anna, this home away from home will feel like your own private paradise! With a private dock and boat launch mere steps from the back door, a day of kayaking, fishing, swimming, and boating will be a breeze. If you want a break from the lake, the adults of the group can indulge in a bar crawl at Lake Anna Winery, Coyote Hole Cidery, Cooling Pond Brewery, and Lake Anna Taphouse! Not to mention, the nearby hiking trails offer gorgeous views of the lake and foliage that this area is known for.

For those with younger guests, two of the bedroom closets (including the one in the main bedroom) are very large and can easily accommodate an assembled Pack-N-Play for those who want a small, adjacent nursery.

The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great place to stay. It was great to be right on the lake with plenty of space for our entire group. However, the code we received to get into the property was incorrect. We had to call the rental company to gain access to the home.

The check-in process was not well described in the email informing us that there was a lock box on the side of the deck hidden behind the bushes. The emailed code did not work that was provided to unlock the box. I had to call and after being provided with 5(YES! 5) different codes it worked.

Lake Anna relaxation

The house and dock are amazing! The view and sunsets are top notch. There is a slight hill that will definitely get you to feel muscles you haven’t used all winter. We didn’t use the kayaks due to shoulder injury , but it’s there if wanted! The tv was a little strange as it’s mostly streaming. We don’t have that at my home, but it was fine. We will come back again.

The best of Lake Anna

Carolina Cove has everything you could possibly want for the perfect Lake Anna stay. Kayaks, a beautiful lake view, fire pit, well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for a large group to gather and socialize. The home was clean and had everything we needed. The Vacasa representative was responsive. I have stayed in lots of short term rentals at Lake Anna over the years and this was by far my favorite one! I hope to be able to return again in the future.

Review of Bumpass

This property should be removed from VRBO. The rental had many issues: dirty floors (carpet looked like had never been cleaned); wires coming from deck to window with towel holding in - solar panel in middle of deck is tripping hazard; very dirty throughout property; bed mattress was hard and uneven (head lower than feet). We told Vacasa we wanted to leave and get refunded but they were not responsive nor helpful. The place is old and outdated and needs many updates. We would like to discuss this with a VRBO representative. We left early and will dispute the fees if VRBO not willing to work with us.

Terrible management

This trip was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental through vrbo and it was all because of the management. Vacasa is a joke and I will never waist my money on one of their rentals again. Not only did the local team never contact me after expressing concerns and maintenance issues within the first hour of checking in, they were super dismissive and made me feel like we had to just deal with it. Well almost 2 weeks later I still have not received one phone call or email from that team. They also didn’t send anyone out to address the maintenance and cleanliness issues that I sent multiple pictures about. Don’t plan on using the grill because it doesn’t work. Definitely don’t try to use the jetted tub because it looks like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in years. You have to had wash every dish that you use because they are all put away dirty. It was just gross. Again terrible customer service from VACASA! I would hope vrbo would look into this more and possibly remove the listing from their site.

Week Away

The property was great. It was easy to get to. Very cozy and great location on the lake, if you're looking for quiet. The ammenities were great, and it was only about 12-14 minutes to the grocery store. We loved the space, the natural light, and the layout. I had to work during a portion of our stay, and the game served very well as an office. We would and most likely will stay there again.

Cozy house with great view but!

The house needs tons of improvement, kitchen supplies all old and needs changing. Bathrooms toilets are stained yellow, deck umbrella is broken, carpet needs cleaning. And please install more then one TV in this big house The view is beautiful though just please spend some money to improve this nice house. I will stay at a different house next time for sure.

Nice Place

Nice location, clean, in a quiet area of lake anna. The beds could be a bit bigger for the adults and the kitchen needs an update in regards to cutlery and pots and pans but besides that we really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious home with a beautiful view

We had a great time in this lovely lakefront property with our group of six women and an 8 week old. A pack and play was provided which was really convenient. The couch is spacious and great for a big group. The relaxing atmosphere and view of the water were perfect for our group of mommas and mommas-to-be to recharge for the weekend. All of the light switches were clearly labeled which was very helpful. A few of us are hoping to come back in the warmer months with the whole family! There were a few things that weren’t ideal but are fixable and would not change our review for the place. The ice machine in the freezer did not work, there weren’t enough pots/pan for us to make a big feast efficiently, and the glassware was limited. Luckily half of our group was pregnant so we only needed a few wine glasses, but there weren’t enough for the whole group if needed. The double beds are really firm and one of the bed frames was not sturdy, so it would hit against the wall with slight movements; we ended up sleeping in the bunk bed instead. A few panels were missing from the curtain for the sliding glass door in one of the bedrooms, and there weren’t security bars for the many sliding glass doors in the house. We never figured out the speaker system or TV, so instructions on the electronics would be a great addition.

Paradise Pointe

This is a lovely home with everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. There is plenty of space in the house, deck, screened porch and yard. Being on the private/warm side of the lake, made for a quieter atmosphere. We were able to have a jet ski delivered & put in the water for some extra fun. Having the kayaks, fire pit, and ping pong table really added to our enjoyment of our stay.

Nice location

We were pleased with the layout of the house, the cleanliness and the location. We were not happy with the responsiveness of the property management. We tried to use the Xbox provided and when plugged in a puff of smoke came out of the machine and a distinct electrical burn odor filled the room. We notified the management and were told someone would be out the following day but no one came and nothing was done about it. Also the washing machine left significant rust stains all over the clothes we washed so we could not use it. These were upsetting issues to deal with at an otherwise nice spot.

family vacation

The property fit our family well. The space allowed for mingling or solitude. We like to cook and took advantage of having a kitchen. There was enough space to eat together at the dining room table. That is important to us as a family. The lake was a bonus and everyone swam.

Very Nice Place, but Here are Areas Needing Attention

The home is very nice and the views lovely. Below are areas that we feel need attention before we would return (in no particular order) Ping-pong paddles in poor condition ◦ Only one ping-pong ball and was dented ◦ Soap dish in shower upstairs won’t stay upright. ◦ Trees along driveway overgrown, hit car ◦ Ants all over the kitchen ◦ Steps coming coming in to front of house are not structurally sound ◦ Deck outlet near grill does not work ◦ Life jackets were out in rain and all dirty ◦ Outside shower does not work ◦ Need directions to operate tv and equipment to play music ◦ Kayaks and canoe were upright, dirty and filled with water - we turned them over ◦ We picked up and threw away Beer cans in grass and water by dock ◦ Thrash from previous occupant's trash in trash can out front in can with hole in lid, attracting bugs ◦ Fire pit needs to be cleaned up and there was no firewood ◦ View from screened in deck blocked by tree branches ◦ Screen door in game room doesn’t close ◦ Rugs in game room need to be replaced ◦ Both C02 sensors not working

Great location but property needs to maintained better

The property is in an amazing location. Easy access to the lake. The rooms and house were clean but there were a few things that need to be addressed. We have stayed at multiple places around lake Anna and compared to them this house was definitely a let down. Few of the issues 1. The kayaks were left on the ground and were house to a whole range of bugs and spiders. 2. The life jackets were all thrown on the floor and were not clean. 3. Couple of the showers clogged while taking shower were water was up until the ankle within few mins of being in the shower. 4. Spider webs were there on pretty much all the doors leading outside to the patio or lake.

Excellent Vacation!

Wonderful house and very comfortable. Love the master bedroom on the main floor as my husband uses a walker and was able to access the home and have everything needed all on one floor while my son and family had the use of the entire lower level. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Great location & views! Spacious!

We had a great stay at this property - literally right off of Lake Anna. It was spacious & had plenty of bedrooms. The open floor plan on the main level was well suited to our 2-family stay (4 adults, 5 kids). There were lots of things for the kids to do as well which was much appreciated by us parents! The only downside was we were a little nervous about sending the kids into the water after reading in the property description about the "dangerous algae bloom" - alas, this seems to be a Lake Anna thing, and not property specific. We had fun without water activities!

Gorgeous Lake View!

We spent five days in this beautiful home with adults, teenagers, and kids. Everyone had a great time! The little beach and dock are very private. The view is incredible! This house offered everything you needed to have a fun time. Kayaks, a canoe, beach chairs, floats, fishing poles, volleyball, ping pong, they thought of everything! There is no need to go anywhere for entertainment. This house and the lake have it all.

Wish it was mine!

Beautiful location! The house is perfect with enough space for the family to spread out. The bedrooms and game room downstairs are perfect for teenagers or a second family. Convenient access to the lake from your lawn. We loved the kayaks. Highly recommended! You will love it.

Fantastic property - great location - spotless and worry free

The property is immaculate and spacious. Right on the lake with water amenities (four kayaks, a canoe, flippers, raft) included. We spent long days on the lake, which is easy to paddle around. The yard is spacious and we played a lot of badminton and enjoyed the fire pit. On the rainy days, ping pong table and foosball were hits with the kids, and the large living room and cozy furniture made for great movie nights. The bedrooms were spacious and the house itself was spotless when we arrived. Towels, linens, and even travel soaps were provided, and it felt like the home was either recently renovated or recently constructed. There is a TON of space in this house to spread out - we were a family of four and had more than enough room (we could have had two more adults and two more kids with absolutely no problem if we had a bigger group). The location is away from it all - it's quiet! - but there is a little market about 5 minutes away that made sandwiches and had whatever we needed for quick stuff. The property manager was super responsive when we needed help with the key code - responded with both text and calls immediately - and when there was a maintenance need (the router needed to be reset) the maintenance crew was there in 10 minutes. This was by far the most worry-free week we have had in a while - we'll be back.

This house was perfect for a group of friends to get away for the weekend! The house was very clean and well furnished. The view was excellent and we really enjoyed our time at Lake Anna!
