Bra hotell, men ikke noe badehotell
Bra hotell, men basseng var veldig lite, og på grunn av størrelsen på basseng og bassengområde ble det ikke brukt. Skal du bade bør du velge et annet hotell. Forøvrig et greit hotell med plass til 4 personer pr. rom. Resepsjonen klarte ikke å hjelpe med flyplasstransport, men vi ordnet det med bruk av Bolt.

Veldig bra beliggenhet, men noe trafikkstøy på natta. Nær til gamlebyen. Bra hotell. Frokostbuffeten var ok, men ikke mer enn det.

Poor cleanliness, terrible check-in
Exceptionally, (complaining is something I do not enjoy doing) I would like to share my experiences; I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Dirt on toilet walls (hate to think what this might have been) stained carpet, dusty and smelly room, small and inadequate space for hanging up clothes, cramped and unpractical layout of the room. Ok food and servicing, however, the front desk personnel were unhelpful and bordering on rude. My late check-in was seemingly a problem for them and I had to wait for 20 mins as the night guard/reception attendend was absent. While reluctantly apologising when he finally turned up after several attempts to get hold of him by phone, he was not helpful and I was left with an impression that I was not a welcome guest at the Novotel Bucharest. I called several times, no one picked up the phone. Check out was easier, however, I perceived also on this occasion a certain rudeness by the reception when they tried to convince me that it would be a good idea to subscribe to their loyalty scheme. I do not entertain that option which I made clear before leaving the hotel. They could have easily made me feel slightly less disappointed with my stay by offering to call a taxi for me, or indeed wishing me a good rest of the day and welcome back. To be honest, I was glad to leave the hotel and doubt that I will ever consider this option again for my many future visits to Bucharest. There are ample alternatve and much better options, fortunately.

Arrived at the hotel at 1:30 AM, and there where people in front of me in line and it took quite some time to get my room. After that everything was great. Rooms where tidy and fresh, nice small pool, good wine bar in the lobby. Would stay again

Bor der gjerne igjen.
Rommet var ikke veldig stort. Merkelig at wc var i et helt annet rom uten håndvask. Dårlig at tannglassene var i plast. Super beliggenhet i gangavstand til gamlebyen. Nydelig frokost, men dyr, 12 euro. Veldig lite støy både i gangene og utenfra. Bra pris.

All in all, ok
Very nice check in. Good service at the reception. Room was ok. When I was showering water came out and covered the floor. The restroom light was out of order. A serviceman came on request, but he didn`t manage to fix it. And there was was not possible to change room when i asked for it. The water in the pool was not clear so there was no bottom in the pool to see. And there was some problems getting stuff who spoke english. and when i found one. Asked for a napkin. but they misunderstood and thought it was pumkin I asked for.

Sentralt og pent hotell
Novotel ligger svært sentralt. Gamlebyen ligger et kvartal unna, og det er flere kafeer i nærheten. Servicen var bra, og hotellet er moderne og rent. Kan absolutt anbefales videre.

Surprised by how little the reception staff could help with information about Bucuresti such as sightseeing tours etc. They gave me a terrible map of the city. They did not even seem to know that just around the courner from the hotel there is a small information office which organise day trips. I found out by coincidence so I could plan a trip to Transylvania.

While we would likely stay here again because of the great location and a few other factors, the poor hospitality when we checked in and the lack of assistance when we needed some information about where to go after I had been injured (not at the hotel) was off-putting. It makes the hotel come off like a no-frills airline, when the price and the location indicate that the level of service should be at least mid-range. As others have mentioned, the lighting in the bathroom is very poor, and the strange arrangement of having the WC around the corner from the rest of the bathroom is not just odd but inconvenient. Adding a washing-up sink to the WC would make all the difference. The housekeeping staff was great, providing extra towels when requested, making up the room early each day, and bringing me a wonderful sack of ice for the aforementioned injury. The room was always tidy and they were pleasant in the hallways. Overall, good, but don't expect a top-notch experience.

Property centrally located, easy walk everywhere. I was refused an early check-in without an extra fee. For the price and number of stars room was very weird. Toilet was separate but no sink to wash your hands. No toiletries except soap and shampoo, expecting more from a 4* hotel. Restaurant had basic bland food. Not one Romanian dish on the menu.

Fantastic stay as normal at the Novotel. Breakfast experience could be improved with possibly a hotplate station where they make fresh eggs/ omelettes and pancakes. Not always a choice for everyone.

The rooms were comfortable, just the bathroom had some old mould in the shower and lime scale in the toilet. Staff were kind and helpful apart of the co-ordinator lady in the breakfast who interrupted my meal in a very rude away saying I have to move as that table was for a group. No sign in the table (it was put on after I left) and my husband and I left the breakfast and the table was still empty. It was on 28/11 and unfortunately I couldn't get her name to report her. She doesn't fit with hotel.

The hotel was lovely and the breakfast was outstanding. The location was perfect to walk to the old town, restaurants and shops. The only thing I did not like was the cost of the rooms - they are very very expensive for Bucharest and felt like I was overcharged for a nice but basic room.

La struttura ha un unico vantaggio, la posizione centrale. Per il resto per la prima volta il Novotel mi ha delusa. In camera c'erano due bagni (definiamoli così) uno molto piccolo in cui c'erano doccia (vecchia e davvero scomoda, poco getto di acqua) e una vasca... Niente wc. Se fossi stata l'architetto avrei lasciato la doccia mettendola a terra, avrei tolto la vasca aumentano lo spazio della mensola del lavandino (che è davvero risicato) e messo un wc. Si perché signore e signori, il wc è in un bagno piccolissimo senza finestra da solo all'ingresso della stanza, quello avrebbe potuto essere un armadio a muro per esempio, se il wc fosse stato messo nel bagno. Non parliamo poi della porta del bagno, priva di una maniglia decente, bastava una porta a scorrimento piuttosto che quell'indecenza, ed infine neanche una presa per una piastra nel bagno e neanche uno specchio nella camera... Insomma, quest'albergo è una pena. Non ho mai scritto una recensione di questo genere ma quando ci vuole ci vuole. Non lo consiglio neanche al mio peggior nemico!

Hotel nel centro di Bucharest, a pochi passi dalla città vecchia. Confortevole e pulito. Dotato di tutti i confort. Buona colazione e personale cordiale e gentile. Buono il ristorante con ampia scelta di vini.
