Cabin near Fontana and NOC

Welcome to our cozy cabin in the woods offering privacy, an outdoor firepit and hot tub. Spend your time relaxing on the deck, visiting the casino or adventuring to the outdoors with hiking, biking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, zip lining and river tubing all nearby.

Relax and unwind in the hot tub surrounded by tall trees offering shade and privacy. Enjoy a home cooked meal in the fully equipped kitchen or cook it outdoors on the propane grill. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining area.

The open loft has a king size bed and the downstairs bedroom has a queen size. Both bathrooms have a shower/tub, one bathroom is in the loft and the other is downstairs.

There are Roku TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. TVs are in Guest Mode so you can sign in to your own streaming accounts.

Nantahala Outdoor Center offers rafting, zip lines and kayaking for those adventurous enough. For a more relaxing day, grab your floats and a picnic and drive just a few minutes down the road to Fingerlake where you can float the day away. River Tubing down Deep Creek is fun for all ages, tube rentals and shuttles can be found at multiple locations near Deep Creek. Take a scenic ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway and bikers be sure to ride the famous Tail of the Dragon.

You will have access the the entire home and outdoor space. This is a private residence with no one onsite other than your group. There is a locked supply closet in the loft.


Kayak an inflatable stand up paddle board available for guest use at Finger Lake. Finger lake is just down the road and is easily accessible for kayaking and paddle boarding.

All communication should be within the platform. I will return messages and assist as quickly as possible.

The location is easily accessible in any vehicle. The road to the cabin is winding and turns to a one lane gravel road for the last quarter of a mile. Four wheel drive is not needed to access the property. It is not recommended to attempt accessing the cabin in the event of snow or ice.

- The cabin is heated by electric baseboards as well as a propane wall unit in the living area
- The A/C unit in the loft window cools the loft as well as the living area and there is a second unit in the downstairs bedroom, as well as ceiling fans in all the rooms.
- No indoor fires

- please note this is a remote location and while wifi access is available it cannot always be guaranteed.

Perfect cabin in a great location. We had a great time riding bikes and relaxing back in the cabin. A/C worked great as it was a toasty weekend and comfortable beds as well. We’ll be booking again as I’ve added to my favorites. Thank you for a wonderful albeit too quick weekend.

Beautiful cabin!!

I was very pleased with our stay at this beautiful cabin! Everything was very clean and organized! Ashley was a wonderful host and answered all questions about the cabin and area that I had! It is very close to a beautiful lake!! It was a little more secluded than other cabins I had viewed before booking which is a nice perk!

NO 4-wheel drive needed during warm/hot season, spacious, comfortable, beautiful. Would rebook.

My Honda sports coupe accessed this cabin w/no problem, but I put it in "sport mode" anyway & drove the asphalt, narrow, winding mountain road in 2nd or 3rd gear to get here. The dirt road to cabin is VERY sudden left turn, so approach entering this dirt road very slowly because it also descends some immediately. Drive .1 or .2 miles on dirt road & cabin is the very 1st right turn. DO NOT turn left anywhere on this dirt road because I walked the entire dirt road & sections of it require no less than 4-wheel drive. However, to get to THIS cabin, a sports car or motorcycle would have no problem (in fact I did see a motorcycle on this dirt road a few times going to a neighboring cabin; we all drove 5 mph. Bring a box fan or 2, extension cord(s) to pull cool air on balcony to downstairs & it will get chilly/very cool. 2 window AC units, no central air, but fireplace. Ceiling fans. No dishwasher. Full size appliances, otherwise. Several light bulbs need changing. Bring flashlight in case power goes out. Plentiful outdoor lighting & bulbs work. Did not have enough hot water to bathe/shower quickly, but water quality & flow rate are good. Not many decorations, but I personally like that. Inflatable stand up paddle board w/pump fits in sports car to go to Lake Fontana around 3 miles away w/free public access. Garden hose, broom, dust pan, VERY clean & comfortable cabin. This location is gorgeous & very quiet. Neighboring cabins can be seen through trees.

No heat :(

Me and my husband needed a quick get away. The cabin is really nice, it was a little rough getting up to it as its up the mountain and it is really narrow. Only complaint is we wouldn't get the heat to work. There is a propane heater on the wall and we tried multiple times to get it to turn on and it wouldn't. There are some floor heat vents but they didnt heat enough to hut up the cqbin. Woke up and it was 50 degrees in the cabin.

Beautiful Getaway

My wife and I were looking to get away for some peace and quiet for the weekend and this home was perfect! The host was very easy to communicate with and because there was a snow storm coming in they offered early check in and late checkout. They also hat the hot tub warmed up for us prior to arrival. The quarter of a mile rd that leads to the property definitely requires AWD when it snows. We loved how secluded and quiet the area is, just what we were looking for. The hosts instructions were not over encumbering and were very easy. The property was also very clean. We will definitely come back here in the summer to take advantage of the beautiful river right next to the property

Great Cabin!

We had a great stay at this cabin. Was nice and secluded while still only being 20 minutes from downtown Bryson City. Interior of the cabin was very nice, only issue was some of the lightbulbs were burned out but not a big issue at all.

Honeymoon Stay

The place was beautiful and comfy! I had a hard time receiving info for the check-in process, but the host was quick to answer my call and help me get the information I needed. We spent most of our trip out and about in the area, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the hot tub. The road getting to the house was hard to find, but once we found it, we never struggled again. It was a nice quaint place to rest our heads as we explored the area for our honeymoon.

Great location. Easy to get to. Parking easy. The inside was very sterile, not updated and not warm and inviting like a "cabin" should be in my opinion. We have rental property as well, but this property was set up as if there was a fear of property items being stolen. There could be more decor and update the curtains that were dingy and old.

Great Stay

Overall this is a nice little place to stay for a weekend getaway. Hot tub had to be cleaned prior to our check in which meant that it was not ready to use until 9pm which was a bummer but, we understand things happen. Communication with the host was excellent. Liked the 11am checkout, didn't feel rushed to check out even after sleeping in and getting in one more soak in the hot tub. Would stay again if we are in the area!

This was such a great cabin for a stay near Bryson City. It was cozy, clean, and extremely beautiful! The outdoor spaces were perfect and the inside fit our needs perfectly. The beds were even comfortable! If you do visit this location, Cardinal Coffee down the road is phenomenal for breakfast and coffee.

House Review

My biggest issue was with the cleanliness of the property. The garbage can in the upstairs bathroom still has refuse from the previous visitors. The bottom of the freezer in the refrigerator was filthy. The kitchen sink and faucet were dirty. Windows throughout were dirty. Lightbulbs in the fixture above the dining table and in the upstairs bedroom were out. The worst issue was that the shower tub in the upstairs bathroom would not drain and filled up to about the 2" mark in about 30 seconds. You ended up taking a shower in a tub of dirty water. There was no garbage can outside to remove our refuse as is requested in your check-out instructions. The fire pit area was a mess.
