As you enter the main house of this majestic home away from home, a gorgeous open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings welcomes you. Create everlasting memories with your loved ones while gathered around the wood-burning fireplace on the large comfy couch and stream your favorite series and movies on the large Roku smart TV. Enjoy all types of streaming on our Starlink internet!
The well-appointed kitchen with a double oven has all the essentials to prepare meals from intimate dinners for couples to extravagant feasts. There is a coffee bar complete with a Keurig coffee maker and drip-coffee with assorted K-cups and all the essentials.
Out of the back door from the kitchen, you`ll find a large propane grill and a smaller charcoal grill for all of your grilling needs. We provide propane, but bring your own charcoal for your use and please do not move the grill closer to the cabin or near the HVAC unit.
After cooking your favorite meal, gather in the dining area to feast in this spacious space. The large dining room table can be moved into different configurations to fit your needs or pushed to the side to make way for a dance floor. All of this, plus the large windows, makes for a grand time with long-range views of the mountains in the distance while enjoying home-made cooking.
If a quiet respite is what you need, climb the stairs up to the loft where you will find cozy spots to curl up with a blanket. Peruse the array of books on the bookshelf, play a game of chess or spin the globe to discover parts unknown. The bookshelf holds books for adults as well as children and board games for all. The loft also doubles as a dedicated work space with a desk, desk bench and lamp.
The main level of the main house also has a half bathroom with laundry space including a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
Open the French doors wide, and walk outside on the upper balcony. Breath in the fresh mountain air. Follow the trail of clouds that routinely sweep across the peaks and valleys before you. Have a seat in one of the rocking chairs or high top stools at our outdoor bar top overlooking long-range mountain views. Have a cup of coffee at sunrise or witness the changes of color in the sky as the sun slowly lowers its shadow across the land at sunset with your favorite drink in hand. This space is also perfect for small ceremonies.
Cloud Nine Retreat is a motel-style property where the bedroom doors lead directly to the outside. The bedrooms have their own private entrances each with their own private bathrooms. In this way, you are ensured the utmost of privacy when traveling with large groups. Think of the bedroom as your own exclusive space where you can retreat. We also have 2 sets of adjoining rooms available perfect for parents who want their kids to have their own room, but also want to keep a close eye on them. The property has 4 King bedrooms and 4 bedrooms containing Queen and Twin beds. There are also 2 Pack N Plays and 2 sleeping cots for additional sleeping. Each bedroom has a full bathroom, open closet space, a dresser, a Roku Smart TV, a mini-fridge, an ice bucket and reading lamps along with cozy blankets and throw pillows to make you feel at home here.
The main level of the home along with one of the bedrooms is wheelchair accessible with a wide bathroom door, hand rails and a fold down seat in the shower. Along with steps, there is a ramp that leads up to the double front doors suitable for wheelchairs.
When it comes to indoor entertainment, the home boasts a game room on the lower level, which features air hockey, arcades, a Roku TV, foosball, billiards, ping-pong, shuffleboard, a poker table, and a variety of card games. You will also find a Ladder Ball set, a cornhole game set and giant Jenga.
From here, you will also have access to the lower deck with a bubbly hot tub area decorated with string lights and the most fabulous mountain views. Take a break in the hammock on this balcony overlooking the mountain or enjoying the forest activity. Other great perks include outdoor dining and a gas fire pit. Light up the fire and bring your meal down to the picnic tables and dine al fresco!
In a private space on the far side of the property, you will find a charming courtyard with a 4-person barrel sauna and seating. After a long hike, spend some time sweating in the barrel sauna with a view of the mountains while having a detox.
Nearby attractions include Nantahala Outdoor Center where you can raft, shop and/or dine. Drive a short distance to the Smoky Mountain Railroad, downtown Bryson City which includes shops, breweries, and dining. We love Deep Creek River tubing and Deep Creek Winery! Rent a pontoon boat on Lake Fontana from Almond Boat Park and go fishing or tubing for the day. Attend seasonal events at Darnell Farms, check their website for current festivals. Not far is Harrah`s Cherokee Casino and Sequoyah National Golf Course.

Please note that part of the drive to the property is on a gravel road as is the driveway.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome with additional fees. No other animals are allowed without specific approval.
If you are bringing a dog, please add on the reservation that you are bringing a dog. We allow up to two dogs and the fee is $150.
Due to our local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
No scented pods or similar products allowed in the hot tub. May incur fees.
No toys allowed in the hot tub.
Please read and adhere to the warnings posted inside the barrel sauna for safety.
Firearms must be disclosed to host.
All events must be disclosed to the host and extra cleaning fees could apply.
If you need trash picked up during your stay, the fee is $65, otherwise all trash bags need to be placed inside an outdoor garbage bin. Do no leave trash bags open on the porch.
No loose trash in the garbage bins. That means, no water bottles, diapers, candy wrappers or any trash whatsoever. Trash must be placed in trash bags, tied up and then placed in the garbage bins on the porch. There will be a $100 fee if loose trash needs to be handpicked out of the bottom of the garbage bin.
