«We had a really great stay at Il Borgo. The hotel is right next to the medieval castle, with great views over the surrounding valley. The staff was very acommodating and friendly, the food at the taverna and michellin restaurant was excellent (same chef). Good and relaxing pool area. Good breakfast. Highly recommended.»

«A very nice hotel with a fantastic view over the Montalcino valley. The room on the top floor was comfortable and bathroom very nice. And the most stunning view to wake up to. The breakfast terrace and swimming pool also had the same views, all be it 3 floors down. Bathtowels from the reception. Very good service and recommendations too. We will come back to Dei Capatani!»

«Beautiful location and with the most welcoming host. The rooms are big, spacious and luxurious decorated. The beed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and social, eating together around the table in the kitchen. I would highly recommend spending the sunset hour outside with a bottle of wine and the magnificent view of the landscape. «Kjempefin vingård litt avsideliggendes ved Montalcino. Perfekt å stoppe noen dager på reisen gjennom Italia for å slappe av. Nydelig beliggenhet på toppen av en ås, med utsikt over Toscana. Vennlig personale og god rengjøring. Nydelige rom med fin utsikt fra vinduet. Bassengområdet er fint. Frokosten var den beste vi har hatt i Italia. Fine uteområdet rundt hotellet. «The hotel is located in a beautiful hill overseeing the Tuscany region. It has a chic but relaxed atmosphere. The rooms look italian classic and are comfortable. The restaurant serves great Tuscany food and other italian classics. There are several swimming pools, a great spa and there is a village just near buy. We got a room at the corner on second floor, which was lovely because we had the views of the village and of the swimming pools. I highly recommend this hotel as a romantic getaway.»

However the main functions that the hotel should provide are more of a 6/10 for me. The bed was incredibly hard and V-shaped in the middle. Maybe the bed is 500 years old too?
